Esthetician here. I guess the Caviar ingredient is the big selling feature here because that facial didn't look like anything out of the ordinary. No facial should come close to the price of a facelift.

I am not an esthi. I have studied beauty therapy and my mum is a beauty therapist who has done facials for about 20 years? She worked in a salon that did la prarie facials. So I’ve used quite a bit of their products. And I’m going to be brutally honest. I don’t feel that their products are anything more amazing than other products that you can get in salons. There are some Sephora products that are just as good. I don’t feel the caviar did anything huge for my skin. In saying that, from memory la prarie had a huge anti ageing focus and I am only 28 and was younger back then. So possibly if I were seeing signs of ageing I would’ve noticed a bigger difference. Even with getting products for free or wholesale, I don’t feel they’re worth the price. This is just coming from someone who has tried a gazillion skincare brands and used la prarie a lot.

A luxurious brand which use the cheapest conservatives: methylparaben, butylparaben, propylparaben, isobutyparaben & ethylparaben. Not good. The effectiveness of caviar has not been proven. Wanna a nice skin? just for under 100, it´s named Retinol. And I guess other kind of dermatological treatment would work better. But it´s ok everyone deserves something luxurious in at least once per life. ;)

Lol my mom uses la prairie products all the time. There was this one facial thing that came with like little pieces of caviar and you kind of had to activate it to make it cream. I remember when I was small, I would literally taste the cream/lotion to see if it tasted like caviar (which it didn't if you wanted to know).
