y'all, my code is HANNAHLOUISE but I just checked and it's still not working. I emailed my person at YesStyle, it should be reactivated soon and I'll update this when it is! PRODUCTS UPDATE: the Canmake highlighter has turned out to be fantastic. It was the only highlighter that I took with me this week on the Creators & Friends trip, and SO many of the other influencers asked me what was on my cheeks. I have also continued to wear the "eye jewelry" stuff, it's convenient for adding a little gleam to the lids but I don't feel passionately about it. The cream highlighter I honestly do feel passionately about.

If you are looking for more browny shades in K-beauty, i bought 2 from peripera: peripera - Ink Mood Glowy Tint - 11 Brown Heaven (is more pinkysh brown) or the peripera - Ink Mood Matte Stick - 12 Hip Brown (which is more cool toned than the gloss). Hope it helped! 😊

This grey-to-healthy-rosy color thing is fascinating to me as a pale olive. It's the only type of blush I like wearing because it doesn't clash with the complexion. Some of the best (and thus panned) recs are - physician formula butter blush in plum rose (it's magic), - mac harmony, - nyx taupe (I'm on my third one), - burberry blush 07 (heavily scented though) - chanel 84 accent - RDF inner glow in eros Any other recs are welcome!

RDF intuition is great - more countourish but can be mixed in to make things more grey RDF lust - is a murky deep plum, its the perfect " bitten lips" vibe blush, some how the murkiness of it just reads soo nicely on pale olive skin. the Elf contour wand that just came out in the palest shade works great as a bronzer, it's meant to be grey and contouring, but instead its a great bronzer for me. The jones road Pink Bronze, is really nice, but it's definitely a pink KVD suede, sombre and taupe are great, but many are hard to find now. suede and sombre can be almost blush bronzers and taupe more a contourish vibe.

Hi Hannah! I loved this video so much!!! The Rom&nd and Mude mascara are my top-shelf mascaras, but there is a bit of a learning curve with the removal. I have found a balm or oil cleanse doesn't budge the mascaras; however, a basic cleaner with tepid water removes them thoroughly without harsh rubbing. Rom&nd’s Better Than Palette in 04 Dusty Fog Garden has a fascinating assortment of grey neutrals, but they have the classic sheer K-Beauty formula, and they create a stunning sooty effect! During 2022 I purchased a shameful amount of K-Beauty lippies to pursue the perfect cool-toned pink “mlbb” lip colour, and I found a few favourites like Rom&nd Bare Grape and 3CE Double Wind; the bulk was very warm. Thank you for sharing; I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
@violetviolet888 Жыл бұрын
Zack Dooley, "a basic cleaner with tepid water removes them thoroughly without harsh rubbin" this sounds like it's a tubing mascara and this is exactly what they are meant to do.Not be broken down by oil. Water and facial cleanser are enough. Like Tower 28 Make Waves.
@ZeeDooley Жыл бұрын
@@violetviolet888 You are correct that it sounds similar to a tubing formula; however, I find the Rom&nd Han All Fix Mascara does not behave like a tubing formula as it ages, nor does it remove in tubes, so I do not consider it be a tubing mascara formula. Also, in the promotional information about the Rom&nd mascara, it doesn't say it is a tubing formula, but it does say “highly resistant against water and oil.” In contrast, most tubing formulas remove easily with warm water around 30°C/86°F.

As sort of an academic exercise, I think it would be fun if you hand-mixed an actual grey blush and gave that a whirl (with the Salt NY color adjusters or something similar). Then maybe make it progressively more colorful by adding drops of pink/brown/orange. Just to kinda drive home how truly desaturated something has to be to actually look like a neutral on some complexions.

I have been drawn to K-Beauty cheek products for a long time and recently got my hands on a few very pale blushes. I have never been that into blush because it has always been very overwhelming (too dark, too saturated, too pigmented, etc.) Rom&nd Odi Milk and Vine Nude, Clinique Ballerina Pop and Peripera Morning Blush are the most interesting blushes I've ever used. The Rom&nd blushes are very finely milled and are extremely pale and blendable. Odi milk is so pale it almost doesn't show up even on me, but it is amazing for blending out other blushes and Vine nude is the perfect desaturated pale rose. Ballerina pop has objectively the best color (palest neutural pink nude on the planet), but is so sheer it's basically nonexistent. Morning blush is a light and vibrant pink that never fails to make me look several notches more alive. I know powder blushes aren't really your thing in general but these really make me feel like a painting being softened and enlivened with color. The building and blending is so fun and makes me feel like I'm back in art class!

Another K-BB that's lighter than Missha 21 is Elizavecca Milky Piggy. It only comes in one shade as it's supposed to be "brightening" for most people. It's pale enough for me, though it might still be a little dark on you. I ordered it from YesStyle when I saw all the positive review comments from people who described themselves as pasty and noted a subtle grey hue in the user pics. I don't find it as moisturizing and dewy as, say, the old Dr. Jart Premium BB (which was too dark but I made it work because I loved the feel, finish, and coverage), but it does have a slight sheen that reads as glow.

YAY! You finally have smoked hazel. Curious to see you play with it more in the future, with your regular base products. Also, I think that cloudy-brown blush could be a good bronzer for you. How would you describe the cream to powder highlighter's undertone, plus the sheen when the light hits it? It's subtle enough that it's a challenge for me to discern those things on my monitor (plus I've had headaches for over a week, so mental acuity is down.) BTW, I picked up L'Oreal le beige after seeing it on your smackaroos, and on me, it is a brown nude, but fortunately not a warm or peachy brown. My lips are *so* grey-mauve that a lot of nudes look muddy, and this doesn't. It's good that it goes a fairly neutral brown, but if it was a bit more grey/muted it would be even better. I'll try mixing it with other grey products. Thanks, HLP!

OMG Just what I’ve been wanting for years! I’m very sallow olive and every time I go to a beauty counter I’m told you must use more colour , more blush , pink / orange base etc and I try to explain I hate walking around with a painted colour face and a grey body. I’ve draws of makeup I’ve been persuaded. To buy and never use 😂 👏👏👏👏🌟🤗 thanks

I'm so excited for you to find the old gum blush of your dreams, finally despite the postal snafu! I know you don't like the orange coral lipstick but it looks really pretty on you, with the undertone of your hair...it brings out the red in your hair.

I have really light skin also but with a cooler undertone and I am really interested in that Misha cotton contour, it seems like it would be a great contour color for me! Contour is always too dark and severe for me, no matter how lightly I apply so either I don’t use or I use my bronzer. I also apply my bronzer to my neck to avoid the dreaded colorful head/white neck. I also don’t like orange/coral lipstick on me and agree you seem more comfortable in your other colors! Fun video!

Throughout the whole video I kept on thinking: “wow this is what it feels like to buy stuff that is made for your skin undertone?” What a fun video. My perfect contour colour is eyeshadow from Leathal cosmetics - Unearthed which is grey/tiny bit toupe shade which only solidifies the beef I have with most brands generaly available in western hemisphere - I have to go the extra mile for something to work for me. Looks like all I had to do was to finaly check Yesstyle. Thanks for the video ❤❤ enjoy your trip.

I love Unearthed as a crease color! I’m going to try it as contour!

I was hoping you would try that Saem green beige out - I use it on the daily.

Random question… you know when you have a stick product such as cream blush/bronzer or chapstick, there is a point where the top is flat but there is quite a bit of product left? What do you do? Do you dig out the rest or because of ease of use you consider it done? Would love to know because I hate wasting product but feel like I waste so much time trying to finish something in an inconvenient way that it takes away from my other products I want to dig my hands into! Would love a video on this topic if it interests you!

This is crazy. I was literally mixing grey in with my makeup last night. It's so hard to find pale, cool colors!!

Thank you for this, Hannah! These are some great ideas for me for things to try in the future, especially when I run out of BB Cream (I tried the Tarte one and am not impressed). If you want a "tangled lash" mascara that WILL come off at the end of the day, try Nabla's Vicious Mascara. You can do anything you want from a subtle, light look to tangled and piecy, and I've found it even works really well to tightline. It only comes in black, though. But you can't beat the cute kitty cat packaging!!!

I ran and bought Loreal Le Beige as soon as I saw it in your last video. It is gorgeous and you can wear it deeper or blot it for a light wash of color. I just love it and I had never even heard of it before!

I have combo/leaning dry skin and have been re-buying the Beauty of Joseon dynasty cream for a few years now as my moisturizer and eye cream. I love it. It has a very satisfying texture to use. Like play therapy.

I have found what's basically a lipstick version of Space Cowboy and it's incredible. Rimmel 264 Coffee Shimmer It has this warm brown terracotta base with these amazing cool toned silvery shimmers. It's not too shimmery where it looks frosted, but it's so pretty. Not on topic, but definitely relevant to a lot of us!

Hanna, have you tried the Futurist Hydra foundation (estee lauder)..? They have several truly gray shades. Like the one called "Fresco".

Lisa Eldridge has a great technique for removing mascara while protecting the lashes: micellar water on pad… hold on closed eye 30 seconds and gently wipe away. Patience is the trick. I do it with balm cleanser and a microfiber soft cloth.

Find Smiles: It is not micellar water. She uses Lancôme Eye Makeup Remover on one and a half round cotton pads. 50 seconds in during the video titled "Lisa Eldridge's Nighttime Skincare Routine | Go To Bed With Me | Harper's BAZAAR"

This is the first video of yours that ive see and I'm impressed. Well filmed, nice voice and great info! I have very grey based coloring as well and with salt and pepper hair(more salt than pepper) I tend to avoid many brands because of the yellow undertones. Can you recommend a good grey eyebrow mascara and pen? I like NYX's Lift and Snatch pen in taupe but would love it more in grey. Thanks for your time. I'll be subscribing now.😊

A couple of thoughts from a fellow very pale neutral (I think) olive person: 1)The Purrito BB Cream in 21 is too dark and cool pink in tone for me. I added the NYX Color Correcting Green Liquid Primer and watched it change to a much more neutral shade. It is still a little too dark but so much better.....somewhat gray but neutral. (And #13 is too peachy orange. ) 2)Also, I have had really good luck with Revlon foundations. Specifically, the new Illuminance Skin Caring foundation in 117 and Photo Ready Candid Natural Finish Foundation in 120 Buff. These are the closest I have found to a foundation match. And thank you for the great videos about pale olive skin. The struggle is real!

I (light-medium, warm olive skin tone - Purito BB cream shade 23 is a bit pink but has a good amount of olivey grey) bought the exact shade you did in the 3CE matte liquid lip, and it was way too pale and looked chalky on me. Oops. I'm not too much deeper than you visually in coloration, but have a more saturated skin tone and higher contrast (nearly black hair), so colors that are too milky or white-based look absolutely awful. For those of you who are color analysis lovers, I am a warm/true spring. On another note, those Saemmul blushers have been my go-to for a long time! They're so affordable with such an elegant formula. I have brighter/weirder shades in my collection - Rose Ribbon, Carrot Red, and Honey Yellow. Love me a good jaundice blush, I guess.
