When your brushing your hairs from tangles make sure to start from the bottom and then go up as you untangle your hair. Because if you brush from the top the tangle will go down and start a huge tangle since you have a lot of tangles it will build up and it will get hard to brush it. Hope this helps ❤

You might need to put some stay in conditioner in your hair after you wash, then some oil from the mid to the ends, this will keep moisture in and help keep it smooth and healthy. The reason it tangles is because it's dry from all the box dyes, and you're damaging it. Pulling it with the brush won't help either, as you are splitting the hair as you pull. Try taking small sections and brushing it whilst holding, then go over it all again... Remember to put the stay in conditioner in before brushing as it helps with resistance.... You did a good job of your hair considering, well done for trying..... Stay happy 😊

To help with tangles i use a stay in conditioner. It helps so much. I color my hair too so one day a week i use a moisturizing conditioner. It will help

Ive been cutting my own hair using the ponytail method for about ten years now and im so glad you found out how to do it as well. I do it a tiny bit differently but it always comes out perfect 😍 i also have a hair razor that i use to touch up some places that might not have all flowed together snd it works wonderful as well! You did a really good job for your first time and I absolutely LOVE the hair color ❤

I do a three ponytail cut and all brushed in the front by my forehead. The whole head first then from above the ears up n the last step which is optional but i take and part my hair in the middle and come from the middle or a little more towards the front and part each side from the part to right above my eyebrow and the other side same thing n then i put it in a ponytail all the way to the front like usual and point cut it but not evenly i go from the sides to shorter in the middle and back to the other side. Of that makes sense ? Im not great explaining things so i hope you understand. It just gives co me wispy bangs and frames around my face. Hope you found this helpful. ❤❤

You did such a good job, honestly and it’s just hair. I tried doing the same but trying to do the front pony I gave up as I could not bring it forward without bringing the back into it . Even though I cut and it was a bit choppy just the feeling alone if dead hair being removed it felt light and healthy. Well done ❤

Enjoyed your video :) Love to see people working with hair :) Just a few small ideas: Get some #3 olaplex and put a couple drops on your hair before and after dying it. If you are lifting the level of colour in the hair, you can add a few drops of the olaplex to help maintain the hair's strength during the process. Also, try never to bristle brush wet hair. The bristles tend to mingle with each other and tangle the hair, which strips the cuticle and makes the hair weak. Also always use a leave in conditioner on towel dried hair and before combing the damp hair. It will lower the amount of friction associated with the hair's vs the comb's surfaces. Lovely red colour on you 🎉

You did a great job with your hair you may be able to find a dye the same red and use a 10 developer as is does so much less damage to your hair. Also with hair as thick as yours you may find a cream or serum will make it soft and less frizzy. But you are beautiful and have lovely hair you did great

I think it’s a much better length now and frames your face well. The part in the middle also framed your face better than the side, and looked more fashionable. It’s just a matter of getting used to the change. Embrace the change! 😄

Leave in conditioner, and make sure your hair is very wet, then spray in conditioner, comb out so it will not be tangled, and make sure your side parts look very straight; turn your head from side to side to see your part on each side. I cut mine at my chin in the front, and it frames my face perfectly. Cut the same length on the front and the back, and let it out it will fall beautifully, I don't even have to style mine, just blow it dry. If your hair is tangled, start at the bottom of the tangle and move up as it untangles, it won't a damage your hair so much.

To help your hair from tangling put leave in conditioner in the middle not on roots and not on the ends then put a little bit of oil only on the ends of it your scalp makes its own oil so you don't need to put anything on it and brush from the bottom to the top not from top to bottom because brushing from the bottom to the top will loosen the knots and take them out easier and if you brush from top to bottom your making the knots tighten up and making it harder to get out which also brakes the hair hope this helps I have long hair that go's to my hips and it gets tangled like that I also get a bottle of the kids detangling spray and spay the middle part of my hair before brushing just to help out the leave in conditioner

@@gottaluvlinda No she's wrong about everything exept that your scalp makes natural oils you must use conditoner throughout your hair especially long hair and the way you comb your hair is fine it doesn't make the knots tighter nor does it break the hair long hair needs conditioner to keep it from tangling and it doesn't matter how you comb your hair I'm a licensed hairstylist

I tried this cut last summer because I wanted to try something different, my hair is super long down to my butt so the amount of hair that I took off was traumatizing 😂, I took 10 inches off the front and 10 off the back, I loved the way the back came out, but I didn’t like the front. Your ends are super porous from running permanent color through when doing your roots. Dont do that. Permanent is only for lifting or covering gray. You need the same color in a demi permanent for the mids and endsnto refresh the color and not damage it. It will only get worse tbh.

You asked for my thoughts. There is no reason to part your hair in the middle just because most peolple do. The cut looks nice on you. I wish you would choose a different color. If you put in some lighter highlights, the gray wouldn't be as obvious.

Please be more gentle with your hair, you're breaking it and pulling it out from the roots. Try putting coconut oil on it for an hour before washing and use a gentler colour. A deep conditioning treatment would help too. When detangling, start from the bottom, using your fingers, and gently pull apart the tangles. Rosey K's suggestions about leave-in conditioners will help. Also, use a very wide toothed comb, not a brush, as your hair has a natural wave and brushes can be too harsh. I have thick curly caucasian hair and have been fighting tangles all my life. I'll often just finger-detangle while watching youtube or tv.
