Super hard lift! Very beneficial for armwrestling because it creates maximum tension on biceps and pronator! 62 kg coming soon guys, It is pretty close, just need to practice this more! 💪

Step it to 55 kg - you might have gotten it with a 2RM! - then go from there in little amounts. By jumping up too high you tossed your whole 'avoid 1RM max injury' strategy out of the window! And then you did it again!! You got this...follow the plan...it's smart to avoid 1RM injuries...and we see them happen all the time recently. Good luck champ!

One of the main issues I’ve seen is that because Devon uses plates loaded directly onto a belt, he’s much lower than the people using loading pins. That height helps cause the issue most other people have had with the lifting angle.

I knew we could count on Sandris to actually do the lift 100% correct. Honestly if you focus on this lift you will do the 62 soon. Just watch out for getting a small bend in the wrist (1 cm off straight will make a difference - devon is really good at keeping the wrist straight). Artem also did this lift pretty clean. He did 120 lbs (55kg) and failed the 130 lbs (59)

I’ve said for awhile that Devon’s pronation lift is one of if not the best lift for arm wrestling. It replicates what we do on the table very well. I like to do it and his riser lift. Doing normal weight lifting “reps” in the gym don’t replicate arm wrestling. This lift does. The slow static drive upwards feels a lot like doing backpressure and pronation in a strap on the table. It stretches the arm in a similar way.

@brentlionakaboldchamp
@brentlionakaboldchamp 9 ай бұрын
It more represents that top roll power, but a decently stronger cup and inside power can beat it, because some people excel at the hook, press, or just straight inside pulling. You should still have that static pronating power, for sure, but the best pullers i normally see, all other things being equal, are those with the better cup and inside power.
@Dmgolfer22
@Dmgolfer22 9 ай бұрын
@@brentlionakaboldchamp toproll/outside arm wrestling is exactly what I’m talking about. And a strong cup beats pronation and strong pronation beats cup. It goes both ways. Have strong both is the answer and I train both. But If you’ve got super strong rise and pronation, you can beat a guy who’s stronger inside than you.

Devon Larratt makes this look hard but not SO hard, Sandris is a hell of an arm wrestler & I appreciate him showing us that this isn't as easy as Devon makes it look. It's a bloody hard thing to do in that position & arm/wrist angle. Sandris is about the only person I've seen copy Devon's work out who actually follows all the rules. I have a feeling he'll be a big name in the sport for quite a while.
