A look at my level for the Devon Larratt pronation lift.

Cupped, supinated, super deep thumb strap, not 90 degrees, and strap running low. Which lift are you replicating?
@2002ZRX1200R9 ай бұрын
Strap that low on wrist is a too much leverage advantage. IMO
@betofernandez55249 ай бұрын
Yep he is doing very wrong. Not paralel to the floor and strap very low. So the weight is indeed way closer to the joint, making way easier to lift. Also, his wrist in not straight. Don't think he can handle 50kg doing the lift exactly like Devon, which is not bad, but trying to replicate the lift once is clearly explained and doing It wrong makes no sense.

Also got to make sure the wrist is straight and not cupped. At least thats how Devon did it.

That Devon lift was absolutely insane, especially considering the length of his forearm and strict form.
@arryharry9 ай бұрын
Cupping and the strap is rolling down the lifting arm at an angle - exactly the wrong way to do this, which Coach Ray demonstrated. Both straps must be exactly vertical, 90deg to the arm, forearm must be 90deg to the upper arm, wrist straight and in line with forearm. Sandris mimicked this much more closely, but the weight is causing you both to overcompensate slightly and veer into incorrect technique.

I thought you were smart, this is not the same lift as Devon, wrist is supposed to be straight
@aidanhobgood51339 ай бұрын
Blue the point of these lifts is to work at 90-95%of your max with perfect form. We’re trying to build a strong form position on the table. What you train is what becomes stronger. Being strong in ugly spots is ok but not IDEAL. Doing these and sacrificing form is pointless. 45-50kg seems to be where you’re actually at which is great!

The point is to test a orm he doesn't work at 100% all the time

Still doing it wrong!

Good attempt, but dont cup your wrist as it makes it easier, and allow the weight to hang straight down rather then towards your body. proper form is more important than how much the weight is

You are doing it wrong, its not the same lift as Larratt.

i think it wouldve been easier to lift if the loop was shorter or you stood on something taller. that way it would turn into just a negative/static lift by getting the slack out of it at an earlier point

Big fan of arm wrestling, but have never seen an arm wrestling table. Forget ever, been on one LOL! However, I'm a big advocate for weight training and had to try this lift . I could only do 105lbs (47.6kg)

better than last time, but i think its your strap thats forcing you to compensate with your whole body. PS. told ya so, lol. Youre only in the "zone" of 55kgs when you pull your elbow onto your knee and use it as a pad.

Your form was better than his last lift (strap not as far down the wrist, no cupping, no failing pronator), but from what I saw in your short, it was 50kg vs 55kg here. And doing his pr after going to failure in a 3 minutes timespan, it's not strange he would lose form.
@BeardArmwrestler7 ай бұрын

@lawsong66639 ай бұрын
ur cupping ur wrist way too much. its training ur not going for a world record. just do it with a straight wrist and keep the strap AT ur wrist. when u cup the strap comes down ur arm and improves your leverage. ur strong enough to do 45-50kg with great form, which would be way more impressive than this
