Penny I trued Avalon Organics before, I'v used the clarifying lemon shampoo which suppose to help getting rid of buildup and dullness (if that is a word😅), to make long story short I ended up having more buildup than what I'v had before using it and I don't have an explanation for it... and yes it feels, smells and looks straight up like dush soap..this is so weird I'm starting to think the ingredients are too harsh to write on the back of the bottle so they just wrote false ingredients in the list... oh yeah and my hair was squeaky as hell after using it.. just trush...

Stores like Ross, TJ Maxx , and Marshalls none of the products are expired and nothing is wrong with them once put on the shelf. The reason why they're so inexpensive is because those products are inventory that other retailers had too much of. Like Target down the street orders 10,000 tubs of shea moisture but can only hold 8,000. So ross gets that extra 2,000 as soon as target says they can't house it. BUT THE REASON WHY THE SHELVES BE LOOKIN RACHET IS BEYOND ME you just gotta check it before you buy tbh cuz people are wild and think because it's a store that sells cheaper items, they can act anyhow. I love me so Ross regardi *EDIT* some products come from whoville so ur smart for reading ingredients

I was a manager with Ross for a few years, and the tape on the bottle is actually so that they don't open during shipping as they come in boxes with merchandise from other departments in the store. I can't speak for other locations, but the locations I managed, once its opened it's considered used so we rarely took back "personal use items." If ever we made an exception for a customer and did take an item like shampoo back, it would be disposed as hazardous waste. Reason being, it could pose a liability issue if the product was tampered with by the person returning it. (Same for TJ Maxx, I manage there now.) I think that this would be a fun series as you can find some unique items at Ross TJ Maxx, etc. Just keep in mind a few things: stores in better neighborhoods carry better brands and higher quality items. Same with stores near malls or other big shopping centers!

Hang on, I work at Ross. It’s trash, but we do have legit things. I’ve never seen anything be expired (I’m sure it happens tho) except sometimes food, but that’s because ross snacks are nasty and some things just don’t get purchased. But you do need to be mindful of sketchy returns so yes, it’s possible they replaced the shampoo with dish soap. People shit and leave period blood in the fitting rooms, so don’t put anything past you’re fellow customers.
