I notice that you are continually putting the dark slide in after each shot, then removing it before the next one. I have 2 Bronicas, the S2A and the EC, I remove the dark slide for the first shot and leave it out until the last shot has been taken. "What about the shutter firing when the camera is put back in the bag between shots" I hear you ask. Well, here's the secret, don't wind on after you've taken the shot, only wind on before you are ready to take your next shot. The shutter won't double expose and you need not worry whether the shutter button is locked or unlocked. This does 2 things, it preserves the light seals between the camera and the film back, and it doesn't confuse the camera mechanicals. I was told this by an old photographer who shot Bronicas back in the day. Now, whether this solves your problem I don't know, but it's worth the experiment. George

Hi George. Yes, I do but hadn’t considered trying leaving it out and seeing if that helps. I’ll give it a try - thanks for the tip!

When changing lenses the shutter must be cocked. Before fitting the next lens remove the rear lens cap and check that the two prongs on the back of the lens are pointing at the green patches. This ensures the lens is set correctly for attaching to the camera body.
