Denyse Denyse 😂😂 you crazy! Wash n go’s are definitely not for everyone but for some of us it’s a lifesaver. By some of us I mean the lazy 3c/4a girls who wear ponytails 99.9% of the time. I been doing wash n go’s before it had a name, even back when I was relaxed. I would wash my hair immediately after leaving the salon, throw some leave in on & let it air dry into a cool wavy look.

U may need to use a glycerin free gel and leave in. I found glycerin to be the main reason my styles never lasted. And if u can't go completely without it, avoid using products with glycerin in the 1st 3 or 5 ingredients.

I think you would’ve gotten better results if you cowashed or shampooed first so the creme could absorb better. That doesn’t mean those products would’ve worked better together, but I see people use more products on damp hair than on soaking wet hair.

i did mix them in my hands and i still was getting the pasty feel on my hands so i just don't think the combination is good. But i think i will try it with my curly magic next because i love my results from that gel

I think it looks great. You definitely have had better definition with other products, but I think it turned out pretty good, aside from the mixture mishap. I haven't purchased the cream yet to know what pairs well with it. I have to use up products I already have!😬 As always thanks for sharing!

I used this with the red top Eco Styler on my son's hair and it flakes. But when I went back and added more water and oil it seemed to get better. I'm still going to avoid the combination. Great video.

Thank you for this video!!! I was literally just thinking today about what I could use for a wash n go that wouldn’t produce flakes. I have thick 4c hair and would like to be able to do a wash n go without having to wash and redo every 5 days 😩. I use JUST ecostyler because I find that if I add any other product, flaking is much worse and happens sooner

I have only used eco styler olive oil with SheaMoisture curl enhancing smoothie or with cantu curling cream. i never get flakes with those combos. but 5 days is a good stretch to have a wash n go last. Any longer would not help out our hair types. cause more knotting and tangles. so maybe try another hairstyle after the 5 days, so you can get a longer stretch. and less manipulation.

Im 4c too and i paired it with the aunt jackies gel. I mainly used water for the leave in and it was great for 3-4 days. Then i tried to redo the wash and go again without washing my hair all over and it was kinda meh and a little flakey. But im new at wash and goes, also. Next time im gonna try it with the just for me kids detangler (it gives me alot of definition)

Just get a nice size amount of both products and rub it into your hands. If it starts looking pasty like thick toothpaste or chucky look like cottage cheese then it will flake. But if it smooth in your hands like a lotion then it will not. That is usually how you can see.

Yeah my hair is just like yours lol. I did a twist out with melanin and eco. And babaaaayyyy they do noooot mix. Lmao I had flakes AND my hair only lasted two days when I usually get 4-5 days when I do twists outs. BUT. I dared myself to try a twistout with just melanin....... and I can’t believe that it gave me THEE BEST TWISTOUT I have ever had. So. Lmao I dare you to try it with just melanin in one section and melanin + different gel in the other three sections!!

So this technically wasn’t a wash n go because you styled on old hair but the technique and steps were still the same so I get it. My hair shrinks about 75% and my strands are really fine so I don’t do wash n gos. I should say I haven’t mastered a wash n go for y hair type and idk if I ever want to to be honest. Definition on point! Love the volume too soooo pretty.

@@BubsBee When you use the styling cream, use warm water. That will help the product penetrate your strands better. That product is super thick, but it's so moisturizing.
