That nikwax is actually very good, I use it on new tents before I first use them making sure the seams get a good covering. Only downside if the tent does feel funny once done but I believe it's worthwhile doing.

I did similar to my white Decathlon Tarp tent... its now Green / Grey and looks 100% better! Great stuff I re waterproofed incase as well and it's perfect

Sqidge bog roll soaked in bleach into a thin strip and leave in contact with silicone sealant or grout fot as long as it takes preferably overnight. Works on mouldy seals too. Bleach and water mixed 50 50 in a spray bottle will do the bath. Stays in contact. 9 parts white spirit 1 part clear silicone sealant is the cheap way of doing what the proofing products do. Does the seams as well. Dirt cheap lasts forever. Brush it on. Your tent looks minty and box fresh. 😊

Definitely a massive improvement I'm now wondering if it would work on dyneema tents so you could do them in green.the gold you were thinking of is fabsil the gold as more silicone for extra waterproofing.
