I've seen Tasty videos where they do shit that would end up plain inedible. This one "chef" made a fried rice recipe where he used like two cups of sesame oil and freshly steamed rice, and of course put it in a bundt pan for some stupid reason. What he showed at the end clearly wasn't the actual recipe because it would have been a gooey greasy mess that tasted like nothing but burnt sesame oil. Most their recipes are designed to be clickbait, not real food.

If you use pre-shredded cheese it has cornstarch on the outside to stop it from sticking to itself and congealing into one giant mass, which also means that it won't stick to your spices. You can either shred your own mozzerella or add a small amount of water to the cheese first, but that second way can get kind of messy. * I know this is an old video and someone else has probably pointed this out before... but still, she asked so I wanted to be helpful
@JTAakaShadowWalker5 жыл бұрын
No food color in the ice cream should help alot. Preshredded cheese has a coating so that it wont stick into blob in package. That also means that your spices won't stick and do not melt as smoothly as freshly shredded.

Maybe the recipe is from Europe. I have never seen square mozzarella like in your other video or shredded mozzarella before. Lasagna: My immediate reaction to their video version was that it was probably served room temp at most (but probably very cold). 100%. If not, they let it set in a cooler overnight and then let it come back up to room so it was cuttable. Use tomato paste and a little of crushed tomatoes, not actual sauce. Pizza sauce (if you want it to be pre-seasoned) is a good alternative, it's usually made to be less liquidy. Another tip is to make the meat a lot less chunky, so it can be more evenly spread. One more thing (sorry I'm rambling!) Would be to press (using a couple of bags of dried beans for weight) the end result overnight.

These recipes are literally designed to look good enough in a recipe video to get a click, they're not designed to be good, reproducable recipes - basically, don't think you're bad at cooking because you can't make these recipes work the same way the video does. There's one called cinnamon roll apple pie that looks amazing! Could you try it out?

Amanda Marie I've tried it and actually thought it was pretty good! You definitely need to cook the bottom layer of rolls for about five minutes first though so they aren't soggy.

I do it but don't follow a recipe. I just flatten the cinnamon rolls really flat, add the apple filling and then bake it. Super easy.

I made chocolate chip cookies last night. I shall eat them and drink a cup of coffee while watching Rachel’s video 😁
