When I was about 6-7 a family friend caught a puffer fish, and was about to kill it and cook it. I cried so much because I felt sorry for the fish, and the man who caught it threw it back in the ocean. This may have saved all our lives.

I ate it just a couple weeks ago while I was in Japan. Honestly pretty delicious. The meat doesn't have much flavor, but the texture is very nice. When paired with the ponzu sauce its also quite nice.

South Africa eats zebras, Australia eats kangaroos, Faroe islanders eat puffin and whale, etc. I'm not necessarily saying those cultures are doing the wrong thing. I'm just saying that cultures are cultures, and you gotta be open minded. The world doesn't revolve around western ideologies and traditions

My students took delight in bringing me bizarre foods from their countries to try. The most bizarre that I tried is jelly fish. I thought it was a different kind of cole slaw, so I tasted it. Even when they told me it was jellyfish, I didn't believe so they brought me a packet with the description! It's all in what you grew up eating.

im proud to have had fugu when i went to japan. it was incredibly chewy and tbh it was a good experience but I probably wouldnt put it on my regular list of eats. raw beef in korea on the other hand yum

There’s no such thing as military tested. When it comes to chrome books. You drop that thing good and it goes bye bye. Be careful with what people sell you. In NZ chrome books have been used in schools for years. It’s a must in the curriculum.

My wife and I had it there on our honeymoon. We felt safe enough since they have to be Certified through the government to be able to serve it and have to renew it every few years. Most of the people who die from it eat the liver, which has all of the toxins in it or try to prepare it at home themselves.

Horse meat, I'm Norwegian and have eaten a øot of horse. :) But not raw. But I have eaten a LOT of liver, and kidneys and lungs, but from pigs. My grandfather was a local butcher. I love liver. :)

You are so brave!! No hint of anxiety in your voice , or Kosuke’s, as you eat the fugu!! I am wondering, is it OK to eat so much fugu in one sitting ? I guess yes, bc without poison it’s fine. I’m also wondering, did they initially start eating fugu out of necessity - other fish had died, nothing else to eat? Is it really so delicious it’s worth the risk? Ok sorry, I’m just so curious!!
