Hi love, dry shampoo is usually used for those who have naturally straight hair which gets oily quicker so think those of Asian or Caucasian decent, some people who have 2A to 3C hair can use it but it should not be used as regular shampoo because it is a powder basically and will turn your hair white when you have brunette to very dark hair. The brand definitely played you and sent you things that were not meant for tightly curled to coily hair. They sent you a PR package that was meant for non textured hair.

hey Deborah, I actually have tried that same dry shampoo from Amika and i really do like it (i have type 4 hair) The thing with the dry shampoo is that it’s meant to almost fluff up and bring back life to your hair if it’s straightened /silk pressed since straight hair is prone to getting greasy and stiff, like his my hair gets when i straighten it. (it’s not built for type 4 hair in its natural state at all) hope this helps ✨

You have Beautiful Healthy shrinkage. I don’t see that to often. You have thick healthy 4C hair. I’ve seen in some of your videos you used heat. Suprisely,it hasn’t damaged your hair. Whatever you’re doing keep it up! 😍

Hi, i’m a licensed cosmetologist/Trichologist. I’m sorry you had that experience with amika but it’s not meant to style naturally curly hair. This brand in general is meant for the care of your hair, the health of your hair for all hair types and it should be used when you’re planning on blow drying your hair or Silk pressing your hair. Amika has different shampoos and conditioners and styling products meant for different things, you would have to find the one that’s right for your hair. The line you used from her brand was meant for people with flat or fine hair that wants a lightweight product to help give them body and volume with their blow dry or anyone who just wants volume.
