My flow is way to heavy. I use The heaviest flow nightpad during day and ist soaks up in like two hours. I get large clots if i sit down for too long. And sometimes when I wear my school skirt i can feel the blood dry up at the top inner corner of my thighs. So it becomes extremely painful to walk. WTH I'm only 13 and started my period in year 8 (7th grade in America) and i am now in year 9 (8th grade in America). And my cramps are the worst I have like a mini pharmacy in my school bag full of paracetamol. Sometimes i even vomit before i get my period. 😑😑😑. I dunno wth is happening to me.

Hey Safiya, I'm not sure if you knew but part of the reason Thinx is kind of expensive is because part of each sell goes to a company in Uganda that makes reusable pads that can be sold at an affordable price to girls so they can go to school and not have to worry about dropping out because many can't go to school while on their periods due to lack of hygienic resources. Thinx also just launched a new program this year that is focused on educating young girls on human rights, sexual & reproductive health, and financial literacy & entrepreneurship. While their products are a little pricey, I find they work well and support a great cause! I usually have to change my tampon every hour or so and this brand really helps me ensure I don't leak if I can't get to a bathroom in time.

I think if it gets manufactured in poor countries the cost can go down. The reason I would seriously consider spending teh money myself if more for the sustainability, in that there would be less waste. Pads are not recyclable.
