Seeing the ball inflate was one of the most incredible things I've seen. The chef makes it look so simple, and yet it's clearly such a complex and delicate process - I've never seen anything like it. Which is exciting - food that's new and does things differently should be celebrated!

Eaten a giant sesame ball here in Toronto. They serve it at Dragon Pearl Buffet. It’s lighter and crispier than the regular size ones at dim sum restaurants. Love watching the chefs make it.

What I'd like to see is Chef Rie's attempts to make the Riceball after she comes back from Japan. It's obviously a hard task and Chef Rie gives her respect; however, a great way to show her respect is to practice the technique and show the hard work it requires.

Great episode. I ate one of those giant sesame mochi balls in Guangzhou. The normal version of them usually have a red bean or lotus paste filling and are common at dim sum restaurants.
