Las teorías conspirativas que le quitan el crédito a las culturas por sus avances tecnológicos, arquitectura y otros descubrimientos son etnocentristas; anular o disminuir a otras culturas ha sido la base del colonialismo y el racismo.
@ingupin2 жыл бұрын
That's really interesting, I visited an exhibition on the nazca lines a couple years ago and it was told that they were used kind of like pilgrimage paths to walk along in a meditative manner during certain festivities. What do you think of that thesis?
@jillianschwab80742 жыл бұрын
Yes!!! I was looking to see if anyone else mentioned this in the comments! I'm also an anthro student, and a lot of ancient aliens content is based in racist beliefs that have been debunked decades ago. It boils down to the idea that people who aren't "Anglo Saxon" or "modern" can't possibly have created impressive, beautiful art and structures, which isn't true! Humans have and always will be creative, it's what sets us apart :)

Yeah, I use filters in my Instagram story because I treat it like Snapchat (which I stopped using years ago). When I think of posting on Instagram, I want a post to be something I can see often without feeling silly or grow to hate it after some time and eventually archive or delete it. I think if Instagram showed how often the filter was used via stories, the numbers would be up there with TikTok for sure
@RodneyAndMeVideos2 жыл бұрын
You're so right! I feel like reels on Instagram are just an influencer thing and most people just use Instagram personally

@sofichernyak32732 жыл бұрын
It does! TikTok still won!
@lilacquarius80962 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with this! Just would also add to that, that a lot of people who do post reels, often just repost their tiktoks. So that means that even though they basically used the same filter and posted it on instagram, it wouldn't be linked to the filter itself. However Tiktok would definitely still have more users of the filter than instagram

True! It's a shame how many cute filters "discreetly" change your nose, lips and/or jaw. Those that just make my lips bigger look super off on me, I'm not comfortable having my facial features randomly messed up with - they're all on the same face because they're meant to work together! It's really cool that they avoided using white to make skin look lighter, because that is an actual issue.
