I have two chinese silk dresses from ages ago that never fit me...I JUST finished turning one into a 2 piece and adjusting the hips and there is frayed silk all over....mine is pretty messy but I tried to protect the fabric so maybe i can improve it in the future :)

The bias tape is easier to sew along the curves if you steam press it into the curves it will be sewn along. It works like a dream. It’s the best part about doing all of the work to make the bias tape!!
