In 1988 I was in Harrods with my mother. At the time there was a large tea section with a counter of loose leaf teas. My mother was at the counter and the gentleman working asked my mother what she was looking to purchase. She replied she did not know but she had tea bags at home. To this day my mother laughs at this because the gentleman at the counter had an expression of horror that she was using tea bags. He then proceeded to bring over multiple cannisters of loose tea for my mother to smell and choose one. She bought some tea and got a great green can to take it away in. The whole tea experience was the best part of her trip. 36 years ago and it was a hoot and has never been forgotten.

@@sheilaenglish9738 That's a waste of food, though to force one person to purchase for two. I also think it's really tacky that one of these high-end restaurants wouldn't allow Hannah to take home the scones she ordered & paid for and couldn't eat. I've said it before, I'd be tempted to shove a little note up the underside of one of the scone's, "If you read this note, you've been served our leftovers that the restaurant couldn't bear to part with."

That men's shirt was insane, A guy can get a bespoke dress shirt made at Budds in Piccadilly Arcade of really high end fabric for less than that off the peg polo shirt. I don't understand luxury brands like that shirt or things like Tom Ford suits and such. Again a good tailor can get you into a actual bespoke suite in really great fabric for less than something from Tom Ford that is just off the rack and still needs to be tailored to fit you.

Hannah, my friend has the same camera as your’s, he said you can alter the frame rate. You should be able to either swipe up or swipe down on the screen and make a change that way, or scroll through the menu and look out for a wheel cog/nut icon, that should give you the option to make a change. The European frequency is 50Hz, so you’ll need to select a frame rate of either 25fps, 50fps or 100fps, (25fps is your best bet). USA runs at 60Hz, so you’d need to shoot at 30fps, 60fps or 120fps. So when filming in the UK, shoot at 25fps and when you visit the States again, change it to 30fps. Hopefully that should solve your issue.

@@VegaChastain Not as far as I know but you can attach filters to the camera. There are official ones you can purchase or lots of third party ones you can buy online, do a quick search and you should be able to see what I'm talking about. I did reply to this yesterday but KZbin wouldn't publish my original comment, I think it was because I mentioned a certain website.

@adam461smith6 ай бұрын
@@HannahRicketts Well, the Harrods video looked perfect so I wouldn't worry too much, maybe leave things alone. My friend explained that because UK and Europe runs at 50Hz, we need to film at either 25, 50 or 100fps, because they all divisible by 50 (and vice versa). USA runs at 60HZ, so it's 30, 60 and 120fps, again, divisible by 60. According to him, 25fps is more than enough, the human eye sees 25fps, higher frame rates are only useful if you want to shoot in slow motion, which doesn't seem to make sense, but it does if you think about it. Higher frame rates will result in much larger video files as well, so 25fps is the way to go. You might already be shooting at 25fps, but have a look, and if you aren't, I'd try it first before you film a full video, you don't want to do all that hard work only to find you can't use the footage.
@adam461smith6 ай бұрын
@@HannahRicketts If you search 'changing frame rate on 'insert camera name' on KZbin, lots of videos will appear and talk you through it. I would copy and paste a link but every time I do so, or even mention a brand or company, KZbin deletes my comment. My friend was right though, the icon you need to select looks like a wheel/nut, or more accurately, a hexagon.

Back in the mid 1990s on my first visit to Harrods i found dinky wooden spoons,half size for 50p each in the kitchens department and i bought two. My first Harrods purchase £1. Not my last,but only two others. Some delicious Somerset ham + a Xmas bauble,a tiny one. I still use those spoons every day. My London living friend says Harrods is strictly Tourist and real Londoners dont shop there. It is a tourist thing you do,visit Harrods on a London day out. I recently visited the Yves St Laurent museum in Paris. Packed with photos of the 1960s beautiful people.

Such an adorable jacket sweetheart! My nextdoor neighbour was a big Harrods fan - she always bought her Xmas hampers from there as well and had them delivered. Probably not cheap. 😶

Hannah it is always a treat to go with you to Harrods! I like the fact that you started this vlog with your lunch, & like everything in Harrods, It looked amazing! I know you wanted to spend $10, but I would almost bet that Nothing in that store is priced below $10!!! Every time you go there Hannah, it seems as if the store was just that day organized to be filmed! It's crazy how they are so impeccable with all their merchandising efforts.....in every department! Very Impressive indeed! Thx Hannah for showcasing another really iconic London destination....Harrods never gets old! Have a nice weekend Hannah, & I look forward to your next vlog on Tuesday! In the meantime, be safe & let us know when you go back to get the Prada bag!!!

You are right there should be prices on stuff. We were at Harrods recently and that stroke us as well. (12:15)
