While I agree this is probably fake ( the timeline is inconsistent ) the fact the paternity test was not enough is realistic. At least in the U.S. if you are on the birth certificate and raised the child for a time, like a year in this case, the court can still make you pay child support, especially if the mother would have to go on welfare without it.
