I did the same thing with the 6.5 PRC X-bolt with a Vortex scope. 1000 yards in 5 shots only because we shot 3 shots at 100. The grouping was smaller than a dime at a 100. We then shot 1 shot at 500 and the next at a 1000. Nothing wrong with the X-bolt. Great video!

Thank you for making this video. SOOOOO many people watch videos that people shoot 1000 yards with $4k guns before optics and they think you need the same thing. Now don't get me wrong you didn't need a Nightforce to make it work or the MDT add ons. But it shows modern budget minded rifles still have great quality and can shoot.

You didn't "turn a $700 gun into a 1,000 yard rifle". You bought a 1,000 yard rifle for $800. That said, there's no denying you're obviously very skilled to have zeroed in two rounds and made a first round impact at 1,000 yards. It always boggled my mind how people have trouble sighting in their rifles. All you need to do to get in paper is look through the barrel and adjust the scope to what you see.

@MuleyFreak that's not a "$700.00" gun. That's a $1500.00 gun you got on a discount. With the scope and add ons it's a $3000 gun or more at full price. I'm saying the video is cool and impressive, but meaningless if you're marketing it as a "cheap $700.00 gun" that shoots 1000 yards. Because it's not. Just like my "free" gun example wasn't actually free. Make sense? Buy a REAL $700 rifle or less and don't go over $1500.00 on everything full price and shoot 1000 yards in 10 shots or less.
