I turned an annoying Xorg glitch into a shader

I've had to temporarily swap to Xorg on my system. Since then I've noticed this pretty annoyingly flashy graphical glitch when my computer's under load. So I decided to recreate it as an effect in Socially Distant. What do you guys think?

That's interesting. I have a similar issue on my Linux system running Mint and Xorg. But for me the whole display blinks black xD I need to move the cursor or even better some windows (update many pixels) for it to stop flashing. Most often it happens after returning from sleep state but not always and sometimes just randomly during use. And as for you it doesn't happen on Windows, so I'd rule out hardware issues ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are you sure your GPU isn't dying lol?

It's brand new, and those flashes only happen on Xorg. Not on Wayland or Windows.

Thanks, I hated writing the HLSL :) In all seriousness, if it is an effect you genuinely don't like then it'll be toggleable in System Settings -> Graphics -> Desktop Effects -> Glitch Bands.
