Last I checked the South did not surrender till the bitter end while France surrenders all the damn time and even engaged allied forces when told too by the nazis in WWII not long after france fell. NASCAR used to have the Lapped cars start on the inside row on restarts in order to give them a chance to get back on the Lead Lap. It was about mid-2000s when they did away with this and replaced it with the Lucky Dog rule, where the first car a Lap Down when a caution comes out gets a wave-around and can restart at the tail end of the lead lap. That's the context behind old-school restart procedures. Enjoyable video as always, Jimmer!

What oval racing lacks in the challenges of shifting and direction changes, it makes up for in INSANE anxiety when you're 2 wide at Indy heading into 1 or into 3. Or 3 wide on super speedways. It's just hold and pray. Dude that pass 3 wide through the middle with the save was BIG BALLS.

I had a wonderful time watching this in the live stream. The way NASCAR races are shown overhead on televison really dont do it the justice like this did. Jimmy should've won the whole show. He had a really fast car and was putting distance on everyone when he was leading. the old rules where they will throw the checkered flag under caution gave a lackluster ending to a great race. Cant wait for the next one.

Well, that was.... interesting. Nice to see close left turn racing at its very best. I'm guessing by the liveries on the other cars that these aren't exactly authentic - I'm pretty sure I never saw a Peter Jackson car anywhere near a Nascar track. Just a pity that no one saw fit to paint up a Chevy in John Cleland Vauxhall team colours. My favourite moments were the classic "Fred the Needle" overtakes, and the yellow flag cronch.
