in f7 you need to look at the block right in front of your legs and use it gradually dont spam. If you cant get it to work there is another method whit a bonzo staff , where you jump in the lava at the back and then boost yourself directly onto the platform whit the crystal . Hope this helps you.

Its probably a combination of running out of mana and getting constantly hit. you should buy a carry or join a party with a tank

I was thinking the same. It might not be a bad idea to abandon the idea of ONLY solo tries until I get more experience under my belt!
