Don't ever feel embarrassed about the past, Cory. I remember coming over to your place and listening to your friends hip-hop music with you, and I knew you were smashed, out of it, drunk, stoned, whatever. No one can judge you for trying to cope in the only way you knew how. Sure, we worried about you, and we didn't know how to help you cope with something that we hadn't experienced ourselves, none of us, your family, your friends, not one of us could say we would've coped any differently. But you got through it. Not only did you get through it, your outlook and attitude did a complete 180, and look at what you achieved since, with your inspirational public speaking at schools, teaching others how to have a positive outlook from negative and damaging experiences. I know I will always be proud and privileged to know you and count you as a friend.

@@rollwiththepunches5932 you bet...a lot of us have hit rock bottom once or twice. As they say...it's not about how you fell, it's about how you got back up.
