Hi guys! So this week I tried using Dove Soap on my sensitive skin. I know Dove White beauty bar Soap is not typically used as a skin care product, but I've read reviews online from quite a few people who claim it has cleared their sensitive, acne prone skin. Now obviously my skin isn't in horrible shape. I do have a few pimples, but overall by skin is doing well. However, I do have sensitive skin and can quickly tell if a skin care product is going to work well for me. Thus, I decided to try Dove soap. My experience may differ from yours because everyone's skin reacts differently to different products. Make sure you watch the whole video to hear my final review!
I have combination, sensitive skin. Some days it's oily and some days it's dry. But everyday it's sensitive! My skin has been clearly up a lot recently compared to how it has been in the past couple years. I attribute my somewhat clear skin to the "less is more" approach I have to skin care. Ever since I've starting using fewer products on my skin, my skin has started to clear up. My skin is always really sensitive to stress, though. Also it's sensitive to my hormonal changes. Anytime I'm going through a hard time, I'll most likely get a breakout. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this video!!

The positive reviews for facial use and what Derms recommend is the SENSITIVE Dove bar -- NOT any other due to the fragrance, which is probably why you experienced itchiness on your face, as well as tightness. Sensitive is fragrance free and a game changer.

Tightness is probably just due to dryness tbh. I used the dove sensitive soap and my skin still feels tight after I towel dry, it's just less tight than most bar soaps but I have used some bar soaps that are really moisturizing and decent for sensitive skin even with fragrance, most of them were french.

Believe It or not. Dove soap is literally the ONLY soap that i can use on my face without It breaking out. My face was so bad for 3 years like i wouldn’t get rid of these pimples no matter what i did and my step mom mentioned her grandmother had said to keep her skin clean and looking young she washed her face with dove soap and used witch hazel and that’s It. Ever since I’ve done that my face has great! Haven’t had any breakouts and my scars are starting to clear up. 😌

For anyone who has sensitive skin, use the “sensitive” Dove soap (green) instead of the blue one because the blue one she used on the video has fragrance, which is prob why her skin was itchy the whole time. It happened to me too but right after I switched it to the sensitive bar, itchiness disappeared.

Dove bar soap is also AMAZING for hair!! It's seriously better than any shampoo bar I've tried, too. You can use a tiny bit of conditioner after if you want to, but it's not necessary. Once it dries it's so shiny and bouncy. I swear by it!

I adore Dove, it smells heavenly but my Mum taught me that ANY soap is way too harsh for the delicate skin on our faces. I've made it to 50, Ma Sha Allah and I'd say she was right and that there are 3 basics for any skin type: gentle regular cleansing, a suitable moisturiser and most importantly, keeping your face out of the sun, completely, always. As an aside Dove is very effective as a wardrobe and drawer freshener - grate it, place it into an organza bag and hang..but I'd seriously keep it away from your beautiful face, Audrey!❤️😊❤️

Dove works good for skin and also Yardley Activated Charcoal soap works very well for acne. Another thing worth trying is Tea Tree Oil liquid castile soap because Tea Tree oil is antibacterial,antimicrobial,and antifungal so it works very well for those who struggle with acne. Also try Cetaphil for sensitive skin. Try them all and see what works best for Your skin. Peace.

Hey audrey i really hope you see this because it's important for your health. Using and changing skin care products multiple times can cause your skin to get so irritated that you get perioral dermatitis. It is a nasty rash around mouth and nose that won't go away with any products. The only way to get rid og it is by not letting anything besides water touch your face. This can last for a few weeks to even years. Best way to prevent this is by not agitating your skin through several product changes or overcaring. I have recently gotten this rash due to a foundation my skin didn't like and it just won't go away. Please stay safe. I love your channel and it would be a shame you get this dermatitis when your skin is so lovely. If you anyone wants her to see this please like my comment. Not here for likes just trying to safe her the trouble i am going through rn. Love this channel. ❤️

My x husband’s mother-in-law told me about Dove soap and I did the same thing adding moisture after which I thought it didn’t work. That was around 16-17 years ago. Maybe that itch is from an allergic reaction from the detergent/fabric softener you’re using on your towel... your face seems to get itchy when you’re drying your face after you wash it.

I used dove soap for a while everyday and after it made my skin so over-stripped every time I used it. It also started to burn and it was the worse when it would get in my eyes!!! Though, I saw results in the long term my skin wasn’t doing well. I switched to a gentle cleanser that is formulated for the face and did me wonders!! But this is my experience everyone’s skin is different :)

You need to use Dove Unscented for Sensitive Skin and Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream (in the tub, not the lotion). I got this from a dermatologist because of my daughter's eczema.

@@tasyaardelia6992 I used dove from ending of monsoon, throughout winter and now summer has just begun, so I’ve stopped using dove recently from the previous week, But i was honestly really good as a cleanser, i don’t feel like it is appropriate for my combination skin in summers, so I’m trying on some diffrent cleaners, soaps etc for now. but ill again switch to dove once monsoon starts! Dove is nice, didn’t gave me any acne breakouts and after every wash it leaves my skin soft and supple! :)

Oh my gosh! I used the sensitive skin dove soap version just now and it was amazing! For me, my skin was moisturized after washing and instantly looked less red! Can’t wait to see what it looks like in the morning…🤪

I don't say or recommend it for a oily skin .. for dry skin like me .. cz I have redness after threading or by using unsuitable makeup products. On dry skin I use it daily or sometimes twice a day (almost daily). It has a nice finish, no signs of dryness, oil based wash that is actually good for my skin which makes it soft. This is an anti-fragrance soap so it may not be allergic for all and its 94% best from other soaps or dry cleansers which will later leave side effects. I'm kind of using it since very long time cz other soaps pull out all dryness on my skin making it dry .. so I say this is best of best having no side effects literally cz its just a moisturizing soap .. I Love It 💜

On my dove soap box is written : "Gentle for face. " and it's like the gentle exfoliating one. I usually use the bar directly on my face. After I use Nivea cream as a moisturizer. The truth is that not every product is good for everybody. We have different skin so what works for me, may not work for you.

I would suggest using Dove Soap for Sensitive skin, if you wanna use it on your face. Unscented! Another soap I absolutely ADORE is Caprina Goat Milk soap! But, it's highly scented! However, I do use it if I am out of my facewash. I just recently found a fantastic new face wash, it's Garnier SkinActive Green Tea Mattifying Cleansing Jelly! It is vegan and 96% Natural Origin. The ingredient list actually tells you where each one was derived from. i highly recommend it for combo/oily skin! I am obsessed. I have been using it for six weeks, along with a few other products and my skin has age regressed about 7 or 8 years. I look like I am around 30ish, not 37!

Well if your skin is sensitive go for "Derma E purifying gel cleanser "you wont be sorry black soap is drying I cant use it myself I dont have acne.But Rose hip oil is good also if u sensitive.

Everyone that is recommending Dove or wondering why Dove is so amazing, well the first ingredient is a water soluble, coconut deprived called sodium lauryl isethionate and it is sulfate free. The second one has stearic acid which is a surfactant to remove any dirt, oils, etc deeply into your skin. However, even though it may appear your skin being nice and clear due to the healthy saturated fats in it, it may cause irritation and itching. It can even cause sun sensitivity. While I am not saying to give up on Dove completely, consider the fact that it is not really meant for the face.

@@bunnybaby975 It depends on your tolerance but to sum it up, you can get sensitive or irritated all over your body if you are allergic to a certain ingredient(s). People can blame fragrance for it but even fragrance free products can irritate your skin because they have an underlying fragrance that is not present. Dove has a lot of ingredient that can irritate a lot of people's skin but it can be played as a placebo due to it being considered a 'beauty bar'. At the end of the day, you have to test sample what you can tolerate and will help make your skin better.

Try washing your face in the shower and rinse really good. also use a soft white washcloth with the dove soap rub it on the wet wash cloth really good and wash then rinse really well. See if this helps. Been using dove for years love it. I have sensitive skin also.
