Good afternoon i have a question bc you are the only one that has had my problem my ? Is can oil seep into the fuel pump and make the diesel tinted ive changed the injectors, injector seals the cups and to change the cups on the 12.7 ddc3 the whole head needed to come off to change those the reason i did everything was bc i thought that was my reason i had tinted black fuel my truck before i did all the repairs it had no black or white smoke off the exhaust and no misfires at all the truck ran like a champ but do you think oil can seep into the fuel pump?
@DIYSEMI3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that can happen if a seal is bad in the fuel pump.
@dariojr693 жыл бұрын
@@DIYSEMI i saw your video when you had the black fuel thats why i took the truck in to change everything mostly everyone told that i wouldnt need to change that bc i had no fuel in the oil or fuel in the water but i went ahead and did it but now im still having that problem with black tinted fuel.. did your problem go away and when i mean tinted its not a lot it just doesnt look green it looks alittle blackish blueish

Dang... it coming out black again? And i was reading oine that some people put some additive called killem by fppf for the algea but if yours cleared up after you changed everything it might have something to do the the fuel pump and what is thd difference with algea and oil in the tank will both of them make a tinted fuel?
@dariojr693 жыл бұрын
@@DIYSEMI Good evening i was wondering one more thing since you and i have the exact same problem exept mine is the 95 ddc3 pre egr do you think you have algea in the tank or do you think the reman fuel pumps can be bad i spoke to stewart and stevenson they said they rebuild theres they dont send them off frightliner has remans and new one exept the new ones are on back order so my question is since you told me it did clear up for a little while do you think the pump might be bad or do you have a misfire bc my truck i have 0 misfire and no black nor white smoke coming out from the exhaust but the fuel is tinted and ive been doing so much research and talking to so many people and they said there is only one way of getting oil into the fuel and that is thru the fuel pump the fuel pump has 50 to 70 psi and once the oil drips from the compressor it helps it lubricate but do you think it might be the pump or that i got some bad reman injectors i still havent changed the pump im waiting to see where i can get a brand new one.. im sorry that i have been bothering you but i havent seen anyone have these problems that i am having with my truck and im worried by running the truck with this tinted fuel i can mess something else up i just thru around $6000 in the truck and it still hasnt cleared up

I just bought 5 Gallons of diesel from Maverick Truck stop on Oro dam rd. in Oroville, Ca.. It about wrecked my tractor. I got it running but it does not have all of the power that it had before and the exhaust sounds different, though the motor seems to be firing o all 3 cylinders? I am sure there was water in it! I have spent many hours trying to fix it. Anybody else having these problems? seems like a big temptation for drivers to put 100 gallons of water in a full delivery truck!
