@@markmurphy3462 Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is a huge problem in rugby circles. The casualties from MMA will be even worse than Rugby as time goes on. At least the organisational bodies in Rugby are taking it seriously. MMA organisers don't even pay lip service to it.

MMA fighters take at least 50% less strikes to the head than boxers. We are the only amateur sport in the world that it is mandatory to have an MRI scan of the brain before you even fight amateur . There is no other sport on earth that has the safety & medical standards for amateur athletes like we have.

Not sure how you got that from this. A smartphone era refers to laziness and the want for instant gratification. The people engaged in this sport train and sacrifice more than most could imagine. It is brutal but a beautiful brutal. Some will disagree but far from a smartphone generation or mockery this is.
