This bagging and looting technique is also pretty important to understand if you're a player with only a standard account, where every slot in that stash matters. I've got 6 nested Berkuts in each other, with 3 backpacks and rigs in the final one just because I have no other space to store my items aside from my guns and armor. I have to do this in-raid as well, where I often leave with 2-3 backpacks either nested in one another or full with loot, otherwise I'm not gonna be able to keep them in my stash when I return.

My favorite way of looting is going in with cheap armor and a rig with an attack-2, picking up two Wartech Rigs with the dual helmet slot while also trying to upgrade my current rig with one and upgrading my armor, filling up all of those rigs with as much meds and ULACH helmets as I can, looting as many 60 rounders (pref 5.45 ones since they're worth more on the Flea Market and I can also sell the BT for a nice amount) as I can into my mag case in my gamma. I'll usually come out of a raid with over a million roubles in profit while still playing fairly safe. Of course this is the ideal situation, and I adapt accordingly whether or not if I need armor or guns for raids or if I don't find the ideal items I usually loot.

This is why I dont run the MP5 as a budget gun. Ever. Ive just got anecdotal evidence, but a pimped PP-19 comes back WAY more often in insurance, even compared to budget MP5(SD) that may be less valuable. You noted that it's a scarcity fallacy. That's what it is. The MP5 isn't seen nearly as much, whereas PP-19 is fairly common on scavs. Behavioral economics plays out in Tarkov. It's very advantageous to play like an accountant *IF* you view the economy in terms of cashflows. Not everyone can enjoy or appreciate that style, so I get it. Money becomes immaterial at a certain point. This thinking is most helpful in the early game, imo.

i have been looting smartly all this while.. its just that livestreamers placed too much emphasize on the action n gameplay but never the looting.. they just loot some high value items and if time or their environment permits.. they then try and loot with more value in mind. Hmm. Smoke and Worrun have always looted this way too. Silencers, scopes, 60 rounders ect. Guns aren't that efficient to loot. Rigs, Helmets, meds and gun components end up costing the most. I assumed this was common sense. I think the most important consideration for most players is what they can afford vs what they can buy in their progression. If you like a certain scope but you can't buy it yet (Some people don't power level) you grab that scope first. But.. this is how I've always looted. If you already have a high level of skill in looting (speed looting & management) then this Russian dude is taking it to the next level by getting the most value by taking the attachments that cost a lot while stuffing them inside rigs to free up space in the inventory instead of like just taking the easy to get items from the dead person and bailing out. Only do this if you're really good at fast looting & fast item management on the fly during a raid since slow looting WILL get you killed most of the time.

this made me think of a new idea, buy a bunch of pp-19, buy a bunch of "CAA foregrips" delete all other attachments from the gun including pistol grip. bring this into the raid for around 24,000-26,000 roubles and have the capacity to store 2 lights, 2 small scopes and a foregrip worth around 60,000 roubles giving you an extra 20,000ish roubles per slot when fully filled. if anyone is rich and bored enough to try this, let me know.

Coming back to this 4 years later, I still don't know how the majority didn't find out about this sooner. Per slot value seems to be a relatively simple concept, 4 years ago when I started playing tarkov and understanding selling and looting, this just seemed like the obvious choice.
