Full Episode: • Happiness, Thomas Aqui...
Matt was scared to ask Fr. Pine about his Dissertation. Fr. Pine reveals he has been researching and writing on the suitability of Christ's life for our salvation. Why did Jesus walk among humans? Why did he share meals with us? He didn't need to; Fr. Pine elaborates...

About Jesus being found in the temple is so ironic because it is not He who is lost but it is we who are lost in the world. He is about the His Father's business while we are about our own business at best and Satan's treachery at worst. Blessed are they who Christ finds doing His will. Fortunate are they who come to Him. For all are called but few are chosen. All are loved but only a few reciprocate. Ever be viligiant mindful of where we stand lest we fall. Nothing is to be feared more than to fall into the hands of the living God yet nothing can comfort more than to know we are in His loving hands.

For me, I often ponder the times when we feel desolate and abandoned by God, though we KNOW (so long as we are in a state of grace) God never abandons but sometimes withdraws from our senses, the temple represents The Holy Tabernacle/ our churches; He is there teaching, where we can always find Him, despite having felt like He was not with us. He was there all along, right where He needed to be, doing His Father's business. Our Blessed Mother and St Joseph did have anxiety and sorrow, as we do when we feel like He is absent, but they sought and found; they never actually lost Him. We too, must seek and find...

2:58 A great reply to Muslims. Muslim lambda tends to say "God couldn't be a man" but is he using the "dynamic couldn't" (not an option to God) or the "epistemic couldn't" (God being a man is not an option to our intellect)? Well, at least one Muslim actually did admit, "God could if He chose to" and added "but He doesn't so chose, because it wouldn't make much sense" ... and you just gave the reply.

By real concomitance, the Body Blood Soul and Divinity of Christ are all present under both species of bread and wine. If you just take the Host under appearance of bread you still get all of Jesus.

The blood of Christ traditionally is consumed by the priest. Also , you don’t “ miss out “ on just eating the bread, for both are fully God. It is actually a heresy to not acknowledge this. Hope this helps

That is beautiful picture of baptism. Would it be wrong for a Catholic, who was baptized as a child, who feels to draw to be baptized as an adult as a way to conformed to Christ as an adult?

The second Adam learned human language from the Blessed Virgin. This would be one of the mysteries that we need to conform to. Where did the first Adam learn human language? From God talking to Him? Walking with Him? Or from monkeys in near human anatomy? There are some issues there that for instance Father Davenport is not clear on ... by the way, his example on order arising from physical laws is, to Edgar Andrews (a scientist on crystal structures) precisely very unfitting to create useful information on the DNA level. Physical laws tend to create symmetry. Information is typically unsymmetric. Most words and sentences are _not_ palindromes.

This is kind of an odd argument, powered entirely by piety. What guarantees that the story of Jesus is the perfect story that will resonate with every human ever in the exact way they need? One size fits all, I guess... Another odd thing is that Jesus died young, didn't live a full life, never was a father, never fell in love erotically -- and the gospels recount is pretty meager for the assertion that every aspect of our existence is somehow covered by those stories. I would like to hear Fr Pine on some of these obvious objections.

How does one be faithful to God while the leaders of the church are intentionally destroying the church?
@sandstorm7768

Easily. They are not God. We look to the traditions that have stood the test of time and look to our leaders of the past. There will always be a new heretic. Don't be so quick to lose hope.

Bible says to cast all your worries unto Him. So don't worry too much about it. When Jesus came, the clergy at that time was also not really on board... The church is but a possible tool for your path, but it's not necessary. I think there is also some story or some part in the Bible where it explains that the church or any church automatically loses the perfect purity of the teachings of God, just because the churches consist of imperfect vessels.

@@Zzethr Hi. From what I understand, no one really knows where the boundaries of the Church really stops, because Christ is also present where people gather in his name. But the physical Church, along with the members of the clergy are also essential for the reception of the seven sacraments. As humans, we all fall short of perfection (with the exception of 2 people), and it is through such a Church that Christ chose to be manifest, to raise and lead his prophets. And he did that with the foreknowledge that his Church would face challenges and difficulties, just like he was. The house built on the rock points to its origin, which is Christ, through Peter, which is to go through the rain, floods, winds (metaphors for expected difficulties), but will stand still. Hoping that helps anyone. May God bless you.

@@Zzethr The church is the bride of Christ. Im not worried about losing my faith. Im wooried thay the hierarchy of the church will make such changes as to invalidate the mass and the Eucharist. Judas bishops may legislate away the faith. We may be stuck with no valid church or Eucharist in our communities. This would be horrible but I think that is the goal of the traitors
