This is one of the most confusing videos I think you've ever put out, and I think it has everything to do with how confusing the tool is for this lol. You did your best.

literally, no matter how much control blackmagic gives us through settings like these, for 95% of users will prefer a 30$ plugin that gives easy automatization and easier menus/controls that will do the trick... Also doesnt help that the tool is so hidden that everyone is confused even from watching a tutorial on it. One question i have, how did Patrick figure out all of this lol... Appreciate the effort tho

Yes. DaVinci's text is *garbage* compared to Premiere, which is so intuitive and easy to use. I watched this hoping they'd finally made text as easy to edit and animate as Premiere... nope. Still super complicated, multi-step nonsense to do the most basic processes.

I totally agree. And I also think he did his best to explian it, but like you said, this tool is so unnecessarily complicated to use, I do my best to avoid messing with it. The time it takes me to animate one line of text, I could do it 5x faster in AE. Blackmagic really needs to revamp this area both on the Edit and Fusion pages. It's by far my biggest compliant about this software. That, and the need to be able to natively work better with vector files (not the SVG import feature which is garbage).

This is what I was hoping they would put more time into for R19! Huge change that opens up a lot of possibilities. Actually might be my favorite update to resolve

Thanks, it is a powerful tool they now have in Resolve. The S in stext stands for Sterling. They definitely know how to appeal to your and we know you will make the most of it. 😃

at 3:54 you said "12 seconds". Earlier you said "12 frames". I assume you meant 12 frames. maybe put a correction in the video at that point? Update: at 5:02 you said "seconds again and now we see you meant frames.

Whats a fast way to do the spring animation from capcut. I want to do it in resolve to add better motion blur and better quality if possible

Stop whining about a free application in a video you can also watch for free… if you haven’t pay for anything, you have no complain to address. If you don’t want to waste your time, just get the Resolve Studio already so you won’t have to wonder if you can or cannot do anything… if you can’t afford it, then you have wrong priorities in your life and/or you’re not serious about video editing… therefore you have nothing to complain about something you do as a hobby. Get real already… Jeez!
