Been trying to use keyframes for timelapse and it's just plain broken. Unfortunately this workaround won't help either, since I need to zoom in to hires images, which are scaled down when using your method. Definitely good to know though. Thanks! I'm having another really odd issue, as well. When zooming in and easing, somehow the zoom will go far beyond (and even OPPOSITE) to the size specified. For example, when zooming from 1.040 to 1.200 the image actually zooms way OUT to almost 0.000 during the easing. The keyframes are never set below 1.040 yet the image/frame will get tiny as if I zoomed way OUT to 0, but never did. What in the world is that mess about?

This is just lie : "you have reached limitation with Davinci resolve". You need studio version to use it !

The Mask In the Edit Page plug in. I can't seem to keyframe the points of the mask. Just moving the mask as a whole. Am I doing something wrong or is that not possible? Thank you!

For anyone in 2024 you need to go into settings before you add anything before you make the timeline and change it to vertical then make the timeline framerate to 60 frames. then you can add the video to the generator and it will play normally.

For anyone having an issue. Make sure you don't have any timeline created (you can't change framerate). Check the framerate of the clip you plan to use. Create your timeline by right clicking in your media pool window and uncheck project settings. Match the framerate to your clip. Make sure you use vertical resolution. Drag the plug in to the timeline. Then drag the clip from the medial pool to the clip name like Patrick shows. Drag the clip to the timeline as well. Extend the plug in on the timeline to the length of your clip. When that is done, delete just the video portion of the original clip on the timeline. This will keep the audio in the playback issues should be solved. If I'm wrong, Patrick will correct me.

One thing worth pointing out is the reality of lifetime license and eligibility for all future upgrades. Suppose you buy Davinci resolve 19 for $300. They say that you will receive all future updates. But they are actually referring to only minor updates in version 19 like 19.1, 19.2 etc. . If in future they released a significantly upgraded version 20 then you may be asked to repurchase it. You do not automatically become eligible to get version 20 just because you own version 19. Just in case they release a new version every year as it expected in the age of AI then you end up paying $300 every year. I do not know about others but at least this was something I was not aware of.

For some reason DNx formats cannot be played back smooth on my RTX3070ti. I am not even talking about 8k. Even 1080p is a struggle. So I use h.265 proxies and intel quick sync to make it smooth. And effects I do render in place with quicktime argb format.

Could you use this using stacked timelines, one set as verticle but do it at the same time as your main edit? Or does it need to use the rendered horizonal video? (Meaning all your edits need to already be done so you can import one file)

Hi, there is no alpha option in the fusion page. So I can't figure out how to get it to overlay and not make my entire image an alpha layer. Also, how do we reduce the opacity of this. It's so bright and the option to reduce the gain doesn't actually work, Reducing glow size to zero, gain to zero, everything to zero doesn't do anything and reducing the gain just turns the area black.
