I’ve used so many skincare ingredients to lighten my hyperpigmentation from alpha arbutin, azaleaic acid, niacinimide, Kojic acid chemical exfoliators and nothing worked until I used hydroquinone 4% with tretinoin 0.5% over 3 months and everything finally disappeared. I’ve stopped using the hydroquinone for about 8 months now and use vitamin c with azalaic acid. I feel like my skin needed an initial push for it to finally work. And I knew I had so much pigmentation in the deeper layers of my skin because when I used hq and tret I would darken then peel (it bought everything to the surface)
@techtactics788 Жыл бұрын
Got same experience. The result has surpassed expectations. However I'm quite dark and it's lightened me a lil bit. I'm avoiding using it regularly as quite powerful. Hyperpigmentation of 13 years has disappeared.
@user-vg6mk8rm3v Жыл бұрын
@@techtactics788 it works wonders, people just need to use it right and avoid using hq from bleaching creams like Caro white, clinic clear and so on because they are in high concentrations and mixed with harmful chemicals. And your pigmentation will only come back if you don’t treat the root cause and if you are using to to solely lighten your natural skin colour but is it’s for hyperpigmentation it’s not going to come back using good sunscreen
@popcanlover Жыл бұрын
When you stopped using it did the pigmentation come back?
@user-vg6mk8rm3v Жыл бұрын
@@popcanlover no it didn’t, pigmentation only comes back if you abuse the product, lighten your skin beyond it’s natural shade or you haven’t addressed the route cause AKA if u have hyperpigmentation from acne u need to address what’s causing the acne or if it’s from the sun start using sunscreen and it won’t come back

Hey Dr Hani I’ve been struggling with hyperpigmentation in my forehead for the last year. I been using products with tyronsinace inhibitors and it’s helped but they’res this one spot on my forehead that won’t budge it’s made me feel very self conscious, I’ve decided to go see the dermatologist and get hydroquinone just for that spot because I’ve tried everything! I’ll make sure to follow the careful steps you’ve gone over in your video! Thank you so much

First of all I wanted to thank you for educating us all on this topic. Your videos are an international treasure and I understand why you would be a doctor you are the epitome of knowledgeable and caring for your viewers making sure you make accessible very complex things. ❤ After watching several videos the one thing I don’t understand is the articulation between AHA and retinol - are they incompatible ? Should retinol be implemented in a daily routine associated with mandelic acid for example to improve cell regeneration ?
@VoteforHani Жыл бұрын
this is a very kind comment thank you so much! they're not incompatible at all, it's just that using two products together that have exfoliative qualities can be a bit harsh on the skin. you would be ok to slowly introduce a retinol product into this routine, but i would avoid using tretinoin (much stronger than retinol) alongside an AHA. sending you warm wishes! x
