Kelp is used to make dried kelp blocks that you can use for fuel. Those blocks smelt or cook 20 items, and if you can renew the kelp, you have a solid fuel source, leaving coal for torches and campfires. As for turtles, you can breed them with sea grass on a beach. When the eggs hatch and the babies grow up, they drop scutes, which you can turn into a helmet that gives you ten seconds of water breathing.
@anakinlowground55152 ай бұрын
Isn't kelp also used for water elevators?
@AllyMind5Star2 ай бұрын
@@anakinlowground5515 Yes. Planting kelp on a block of soul sand and then waterlogging the space allows for that. In a vertical tube with that at the bottom, you can easily grow the kelp with bone meal, which will create water sources as it grows in the tube. And then you can remove the kelp for an elevator up!

Mod suggestion to add, Exposure the REALLY nice in game camera mod that fits extremely well, and i feel like adding it to take nice pictures of the distant horizons landscape could be extremely entertaining to watch you explore and then develop the in game images I sat through watching someone do that for like 30 minutes and all they did was explore and take images, without speaking once they captured the magic of what distant horizons + BSL, and world gen from tectonic mixed with terralith can bring to the table, it was beautiful

Really happy to see you're enjoying Minecraft again! As for the server, I was part of the 2nd season and while the limited player count did make things die out a bit after a while, I can honestly say that was one of the best survival multiplayer experiences I've had and I still look back on it fondly. When I eventually backed out due to some money/time problems I remember saying if the server was opened for a 3rd run I'd join again in a heartbeat, and I definitely still stand by that lol. Also, while the self improvement courses/community thing might not totally be my thing, I think that's an awesome idea! Achieving goals and working on breaking habits, improving yourself, etc. is definitely easier with an engaging community of people all doing similar things, especially having others to hold you accountable and keep you on track and motivated. Really love the community you're building man, keep up the great work 🔥

12:30 oh my god dude the veiws in distant horizons is just utterly insane, like literally jaw dropping, i can not believe this is minecraft. also, I think you really made the right decision man. you sound so much more motivated and optimistic about everything, and your finding ways to incorporate all of your ideas/values/interests in ways that you enjoy. 32:42 Yes you need 5 Scute for a turtle helmet. 1. Breed seaturtles with seagrass. 2. Wait for their eggs to hatch. 3. When the baby turtles grow up a scute will pop out of them. When wearing it you get a free 10 seconds of water breathing that is reset instantly when you come out of water (Including placing a torch at your head while under water) Its better then an iron helmet stat wise

A suggestion for you, the next time something were to happen with phantoms, and you find that you know, you really hate them enough, you can disable their spawns at world creation in the game rules. I know, some people might see this as cheating, others might see this as easy mode and not the full hardcore experience, and I do get that... but at the end of the day, it is your world, and I agree with you that they're one of the worst things Mojang has included in the game... Everyone has their own takes on it, but in my personal opinion, I see it as enhancing the personal experience. Minecraft is, after all, a sandbox game, and therefore, each world can be whatever you want it to be, with whatever rules you want within it. If you want to play hardcore Minecraft but don't want the phantoms to be included, that's your prerogative. Anyhoo, love the videos, Flow! Hoping you are well-- I am really enjoying the peaceful vibes of your videos, they've been helping me to keep my head out of the dark.

Love the cinematic style! One thing that you could improve at some points in the video is the time span of the cinematic shots. Like at around 15:53 you show the mountains. But I think that type of shot should be longer. I think you could even leave the audio as is. Keep on talking and just slow the pace of the edit by elongating the cinematic shots (maybe even with fitting music as you already do). I know it is really nitpicky. The videos over all are awesome and really well made! It‘s just a thought I thought I might share.

im not sure if this mod fits the chill gameplay you're going for, but born in chaos is a really good mod for enemy variety and i really like how it can spice up the combat. don't worry it's not too crazy (though the mod name would suggest otherwise lmao), but its pretty good. It's a vanilla+ mod, though it does stray away a little further away from vanilla than most of the other mods in this pack.
