When I was a little kid myself and parents would watch Don Rich and Buck Owens play on tv shows,my dad was a fiddle player and he was a big fan of his ..thanks 🎸🎻

Great job and excellent playing! Don Rich is one of my favorite players! I was just working on this solo last night. I'm pretty sure they had their guitars tuned down a half step to Eb so that this solo, after a half step modulation up, ends up being played as if you were in the key of F major. You did a great job of playing it in the actual key of E major that the solo portion is in.

@@MentMorrisGuitarLessons Man, I've been looking at his pickups for a couple years now. Always wanted a set, but funds are always tight to spring for new pickups. Your sound is great. Definitely nailing those Don Rich tones.

With all due respect, this is NOT --- repeat NOT ---- the "Don Rich Guitar Solo" from the original record. Yours is a modern version with way too many notes, and just a pale imitation of Don's original. If you want to play it a different way, that's perfectly all right---- but if you're going to emulate Don Rich the first thing you need is Tone, the next Simplicity. The paradox is--- it's really difficult to get that classic tone and that deceptive simplicity because you have to be a really good guitar player like Don was. Don and Buck invented the entire Fender country twang sound that we take for granted today, and I hear very few people today who come anywhere close to their originality and their inventiveness.
