My 16-year-old daughter's mind is closed...but her phone is always open. I keep trying with her, but it feels like I am wasting pearls on her.

At 80 years old, Gladys is on tour this year (2024). She still IS a great singer.🤗🎉

@@marthawelch4289 that’s awesome! Age should never be an obstacle. While you got it, live your life to the fullest. Redd Foxx did.

This was during my favorite era of Rhythm and soul. The very best music ever produced was made during the 70s I'm so glad I was able to experience it

We all know that Gladys Knight is as amazing singer with Good looks but you got to give props for The Pips, they were amazing Dancers and singers. They’ve backed up Gladys starting at a young age. They are also family.

OMG, thank you for posting this. There’s another clip of this on YT, but the audio and video quality are awful. One of my all time faves. I like to think of it as a nervous breakdown set to music. Gladys as usual is her bad old self, though her outfit here makes her look like a big banana. As for the Pips, terrific moves and vocal backing (and the one on the right is hawt!)

Gladys looks very good here I saw her a couple years ago in Charlotte North Carolina and she did a fantastic show fantastic she might be a little bit frail but that voice is still there

Admit it the Pips could hold their own against the Temps and the O'Jays. Salute Cholly Atkins the master stepper.

While Gladys sounds fantastic, the Pips mix seems a bit off. The falsetto voice seems to be too far in front. Minor point though.
@DS-oi4wl4 ай бұрын
The falsetto is my favorite part of the performance. I am pretty sure it is the guy in the middle -- Edward Patten. I deduced that, because he is closest to the mic the whole way through, he is the falsetto. I was very impressed.

I looked up "pip". It is: an excellent or very attractive person or thing. Sounds about right.
