Dang man it’s a good thing your securement is always top notch and those were light partials, otherwise those could easily have shifted when that person pulled in front of you. Nice job going around too in order to avoid that collision, it’s not easy with what we do, that decision has to be made immediately.

You needed another strap on the back one and the front one. Need 2 straps within the first 4 feet on the front piece and 2 straps on the last 4 feet of the last piece. Every 10 feet in the middle
@Mr.AlexKoganАй бұрын
I think that depends on overall length of a single piece on your trailer and overall weight of it. As far as I know if your load is over 10 ft in length you are required to use two straps for the first 10 ft and one strap per each additional 10ft. Both items on my trailer were 20 ft each and weighed less than 2,000lb each. I had 16,000lb worth of strap securement on each. Each 4inch strap is rated at 5400lb work load. I strongly doubt I needed any additional straps.

Love your videos, I am studying the way you strap.. u do it the same every time... I have it down except for how you know how far to stay away from the trailer to give you the correct length to put in the wench... Is it by the folds you do or your arms length.. you have a perfect system down and u do it every time... Thank you for sharing your adventures

Hey, thanks for watching. I don’t really count per 1000 miles but diesel is average $3.50 per gallon and my average mpg is around 9-10 so maybe that’ll give you an idea. Food I prep to take with me. Thank you!!! That’s why insurance is super high in Florida. Because of drivers like this. I’m not sure why people hate on Ram. It’s a great truck. The only issues you may have are emission related like all other diesel trucks. Engine and transmission wise they are solid.

Yes it’s common sense to keep dunnage if you are often at shippers that require it. Out of 4-5 years that I’ve been working I’ve only had one or two shippers that required dunnage. I am definitely not going to carry dunnage because of that reason. I also don’t have extra room. When dunnage is needed a broker will specify it when booking a load. Thank you! 🙂
