B4 locs I was one of those women who couldn’t figure out after having natural hair for 11 years how to make it grow pass my ears now that my locs are shoulder length & growing yes I obsessed to see how far it is going to grow

Me too! 10 years natural and stayed at ear length😢. Locd 2 years and already my hair is longer than it’s ever been 🎉

Another beautiful video. Thanks Queen. What helped me in my loc journey, not to be obsessed with length is knowing, this is permanent. I promised myself not to cut my locs so my main focus is holistical health.

I was obsessed with length, I’ve been loc’d for 6 months and I use to be like I can’t wait for it to get longer and would compare my hair to others. Then recently I just started having gratitude for the journey and where I currently am. I love it, my confidence is boosted and I feel the most beautiful 😊

The weight is already getting to me when it’s wash day and I’m almost to neck length but I cut my hair because of bleach and impulsive decisions. But the buns and curls will look SO good and two strand twists when I get to your length so I gotta awhile to go.🤤 I would say I’m still obsessed but at the same time I do like bobs so once my locks hit my collar bone, I’ll be chilling 😎

I loveeee bobs, I actually miss it. I’m surprised you’re already feeling the weight!

I’m going on 4 yrs with my locs and I’m seeing my length now and I love it but I have noticed I can’t wear my hair up for very long

4 years in the game! ❤️🔥 How do you feel after wearing your hair up?
@monae2ish Жыл бұрын
Yes 🥰! But it feels okay but I definitely can feel it getting heavier.

Pony tails are a little uncomfortable for me, I prefer high buns/updos. I’ll show you in a vid 💓

Girl you sound like me lol I’ll be 3 years loc’d later this year and I want my hair waist length your’s are so pretty 😍and I’ve loved my locs at every stage plus I started during quarantine so even when I was rough you couldn’t tell me a thing because there was no real pressure to do much of anything to my hair but once I hit my goal I plan to cut it different lengths eventually to a bob in my older years and then I’ll shave it off and rock a short natural cut. I’ve never grew my hair past bra strap length I’ve also never had short hair I’ve always been in the middle so I love that I’ll get to experience both extremes with my locs and they’re soooooo effortless I’m really enjoying the journey 💓💓💓

Thank you love! You started your locs at the perfect time!! It’s funny that you mentioned a loc bob because I love the way it looks, so fly! I’ll try it one day. When the time comes to let go of the locs I’ll cut mine, no comb out lol I love your mindset 💓

I’ve pretty much always had long hair. The only time my hair wasn’t long was when it was permed but I LOVEEEDDDD my natural hair! And now my locs have shrunk a lot and honestly I still don’t think it lived up to my loose natural hair. I dunno I like my locs but I don’t love it just yet.

I appreciate your honesty! It’s helpful to let your hair be and monitor the changes without comparing to other loc images. Play with your hair and find your favorite looks. Don’t feed in to the pressure of comparing it to your fro either. Just know that you can always change your hair if you think the style isn’t for you. You should feel good about yourself ❤️🔥

The "Rebel" 😂😂😂 You KNOW I can relate! I think my goal is bra strap length. I will let the Mane do what it wants to do and grow however long it wants to grow... But honestly I cannot see myself with locs as long as yours. But I certainly do not want to cut them. And if I get there to that waist length... so let it be! 🤩😀👍🏻
@nattyann Жыл бұрын
That loc has a mind of it’s own 🤣🤣 Bra strap length is a really good length, it can easily styled and it doesn’t feel heavy. I definitely think you will get to waist length if you decide not to cut it. Not sure if you’re going want all that though lol✨💕

have you ever done a loc detox? if not, what if it made your hair much lighter in weight? would that encourage you to just leave it alone despite having reached your goal length?
@nattyann Жыл бұрын
It’s been years since I got a detox, I don’t even remember what it feels like. I’m not opposed to getting one now, thank you for reminding me! If it will lighten the load I’ll leave it alone lol
