I was born in 1960 ,and the 70's and 80's was the best time of my life. I wish I could back and do it all over again. Those were great times to party, lol.

AWESOME YES... a warm summer evening in 1977 at RFK Stadium, Washington DC.....with Lynard Skynard, Peter Frampton and Gary Wright... been a while, though memories are refreshed just listening to this... WOW... we are wonderfully made!... Don't surround yourself with yourself... Share the best of yourself with the rest of US!... GOD BLESS!

I used to spin this album in the early 70's as I made love to my soon to be wife. After two kids and 24 years marriage she died in 1998. Kids are now in their early thirties. Hearing this again had me flying thru time and revisiting emotions. Thanks for the memories YES!!

Over the years as I've heard this song it has always intrigued me. I missed it when it first came out because I lived in the middle of the Mojave Desert and we had one AM radio station that seemed to play only John Denver records and tell us about peoples lost pets and who to call about them every noon. I'm revisiting this because of theChase Ink credit card commercial bringing to my attention again. Great music and performance.

This music is ecstatic (in a holy sense -- in the William James and Emersonian sense) and amazing. I am not sure all people are ready to receive it, if they ever were. Their window passed. I think this is why it's called 'progressive rock.'

@knoxrox167 As @hoty1957 pointed out, it's a 12-string Portuguese guitar (unknown maker). There's a nice photo of it in the book "The Steve Howe Guitar Collection" (GPI Books, 1993). Howe also noted that he played that guitar on the studio recording of "And You and I." The electric guitar used on the second part of All Good People is a 1949 Gibson ES5 Switchmaster, a model which had previously been used by Carl Perkins.
@drummerhere18 жыл бұрын
Awesome song..
@johndrobcuny11 жыл бұрын
That's actually a Portuguese 12-string guitar that Steve Howe plays in the first half of the song, before switching to his 1959 Gibson ES5 Switchmaster. According to the "Steve Howe Guitar Collection" book (GPI Books, 1993), the Portuguese guitar doesn't have any label or marks, so he has no idea who made it; he said that his sister brought it back for him as a gift when he was around 15, from a trip to Spain.
