It’s crazy to me how trans and queer people are shamed for wanting gender affirming care to feel more comfortable in their bodies; having to undergo psychiatric evaluation, needing several letters of approval from therapists and psychologists but cisgender people can do this without half that grief. Body modifications and reconstruction of any kind is considered gender affirming care regardless of if a person is LGBT or not, but it’s just weird how it’s “bad” for queer people but fine for cis.
