Grew up being scared of Walsh - he used to torment my hero Mike Atherton! Tours of 1994 and 1998 were pure torture for an English fan. Pure respect for him. Roach, not the same class, but a legend in my eyes nevertheless. When the current crop chase the $$$, the man respects that badge and keeps giving 100% day in day out. Respect to them both. IPL clown show - none of the clowns who ply their trade in IPL are not even fit enough to lace Courtney's shoes.

unfortunately Kemar Roach used to bowl 150kph plus and due to poor management and over-bowling from the coaching/management team, they caused Roach to sustain his injury. Now he is a fast medium bowler and always available for selection - at least the current management team have stuck by him

Me too...they were so good !!! I remembered commentators usually said at the beginning of their spells "see off Ambrose and Walsh"

@@OmarEdwards-ob3iw Ambrose started playing for West Indies at 24 and Walsh at 21. I would more to say Ambrose took up the sport seriously a little later than Walsh. I think Ambrose could have given us a year or two more

Our young West Indies fast bowlers need legends like Garner, Holding, Walsh and Ambrose to scout the region for raw fast bowlers and nurture them. TEST cricket is the ultimate form and the only true measure of how good you REALLY are.

Fantastic Interview I hope Walsh and Ambrose can work with the new bowlers and those on the cusp. It's been a hard 25 years as a west indies fan since a small child despite being English I really think the world needs a strong west Indian side ...( No more worst indies !😅)

Roach was unfortunate in that he was always the rip of the spare came into a depleted wi team when the seniors opted out of the Bangladesh and never really got to partner up with a four prong attack of fair quality played a bit with Jerome Taylor but not for the time to form a proper bowling partner the other bowlers were ok but not really terrifying bowlers
