It's always such a crazy thing when I get to know people, I tell them about Gurren Lagann and I always preface it with "This is the most insane statement I will ever tell you. This anime saved me from depression and without it, there was a non-zero chance I wouldn't be here right now"

The best show to watch after evangelion. And arguably it's the same show but just inspires hope rather than brings out the sadness we all run away from. Wish I had the ability to rewatch them now.

Gurren Lagann has always meant a lot to me, it shows hope in a way different to any other series, hope is something we give ourselves in the long run. The world is cruel and callous and will try to beat our humanity out of us and push us into the ground, the only thing we can do is roll like team Gurren. Reject common sense to make the impossible possible isn't just something they say, it's something their world demands, reject despair despite hardship in possibility for a future of hope. Much like Simon sometimes all we can do through pain is to push forward and grit our teeth.

I heard somebody say recently "we must believe in that which doesn't exist, because if we don't, it can never have even a chance to become real", I've been thinking about that a lot lately.

Bro listening to this got me feeling HELLA emotional holy shit. I'm glad you decided to put this out. I feel like I was being reminded why it is that Gurren Lagann was MY favorite anime so many years ago before dropping out of my thoughts so many years later. Simon's character I feel has both directly and sometimes subconsciously influenced my decisions and ambitions growing into adulthood. Hearing your story again through this video jumped my emotional state all over the place, but ended it in a spot the same way the show did on it's finale. I'm just so happy you're here king.

Не думал, что найду человека, который также погружен в Гуррен-Лаганн, как и я... Сериал тоже позволяет мне справиться с жизненными трудностями и я пересматривал его бесчисленное количество раз. Это вдохновляюще Спасибо!

Found this through the algo after watching a lot of GL videos. Let me tell you that you are not alone. Gurren Lagaan has saved my life repeatedly, and I consume it or media adjacent to it when I need a boost to get through the darkest times. Never give up, never give in, and remember that you have an obligation to drill through the thoughts and feelings that are keeping you from being the you that you can believe in.

Some weeks ago i found Gawr Gura singing the opening of Gurren Lagann and for some reason i started to feel emotional all of sudden, as if i heard about a friend dying, it's strange how the brain made me react in a split of a second from something related to a story which i don't remember every detail of it and even though i saw it only one time i didn't expect to notice how much Gurren Lagann impacted me until i started to think about it, it's not the most important form of media which i grew fond of but the weight of the sacrifices and resolve, certainly reminds me until today of how awesome and hard is to be that kind of force of nature, the unrelenting one, for everything these kind of stories taught me it's to never give up, not even in the face of certain defeat and that kind of spirit is something i've come to admire specially from content creators like yourself, even though we can "broadcast ourselves" to the world it doesn't mean everyone will instantly give us value as their favorite persona but people will continue anyways, doing what it loves not always for himself or the viewers but to the desire of sharing something with everyone and in a very selfish way i thank you for making me comment this and wish you the best of luck in this harsh journey for more acknowledgement that you deserve.

Iv only watched gurren lagann three times now (3rd time last year), the amount of times I could have done my usual antics and said rewatch like with ducking one piece it but I didn’t because I don’t see it as entertainment like most of my watch list, it’s an experience that will always be apart of my life I wouldn’t be embarrassed to tell someone to live there life like kamina and Simon because that’s how you live

When I first (Properly) watched Gurren Lagann (Not counting 2019) back in 2021, I was going through a really tough time. It was post pandemic and I had just moved cities. At arguably my lowest point so far, I distanced myself from all the friends I had and those who (tried) to befriend me, due to how much I struggled to communicate at the time. Another lockdown happened (for those who remember) and my brother and I used to always watch anime together. He reminded me I need to properly watch Gurren Lagann with him and that was probably one of the best decisions I had made that year. Watching Simon's growth as a character really did speak volumes, and though it didn't completely fix me, it made me feel so much better about myself, and showed me that I'm more than I think I am. Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist may be my all time favourite anime, but Gurren Lagann is the only anime that has actually changed me. Long story short, Gurren Lagann is one of the best anime in history and y'all niggas should watch it in case you haven't

You know, I actually had some experience, but it wasn’t about death. It was more like about losing hope and continuing forward and some sense. How Simone felt is the way I felt because was forcing this weird anger on everybody and just pushing everybody away and thinking that I was just alone, and I could do everything with myself, but after watching. Gl that’s when I realized I’m not alone anymore and I realize all the mistakes I made and the show gave me a new spark again and it’s not my first time watching it. Neither I’ve watched a total of 10 times I was when I watched it. When I was super young. I’m 14 and I watched it back in like when I was like eight or something like that this show helped me and it shown me what I have in this video makes me feel that I’m not alone.
