Hi Martin from a Wolves fan You could see two struggling teams at the bottom wasn't the greatest game for the eye and like you we can't see that Gary O'Neil can take us further No disrespect to you but we are the home team and should have shown alot more than sitting back defending we look shot of any confidence but luckily tge difference is we have better quality player's especially up top like Cunha You pass the ball around nicely but lack that goal threat where we have been scoring regular but also have been conceding goals for fun our first clean sheet for many games I think you were hard done by VAR with your goal didn't look alot in it but I have to say I would take it as we have had our fair share of bad decisions in the past I know you come up from the Championship and VAR is all new to you but Wolves voted for it to be scrapt last season and we was the only club out of the 20 clubs who voiced there vote against I'm sorry but you will find especially against the top 6 clubs these decisions will go there way As for the away end its done to our advantage the way there spread along the bottom of the SB Stand so not to create that atmosphere though you were good it's all about making the best for the home team I'm sure come the end of the season we will both be fighting to stay up like you we need to improve massively to survive but under Gary O'Neil I can't see it If you can get a couple of signings in Jan who can put the ball in the net you maybe OK as your build up play is very good Good luck with the remainder of your Season I hope you can stay up like us All the best.🐺

Interesting to hear opposition Fans opinions. Very balanced views about both Teams, Southampton Fans very knowledgeable about Wolves earns them lots of respect in my mind. I agree with the point about the away end, decades ago it was on the South Bank. Mind you, there are Grounds where the away Fans are two miles up in the Stand,so high up,some need oxygen. Wolves fan --- I was so thankful for the points I thought we deserved it but that goal ruled out by VAR was so cruel for Southampton I personally thought it should have stood but we have had so many terrible decisions VAR related I’ll take it for once in our favour but as we know VAR is different for struggling clubs

I agree with your comment on VAR. We have been harshly treated by it for years. You will find out that as a smaller club, you will get the same treatment as we have, especially against the larger clubs. Wolves were the only club who voted to get rid of VAR so.....

There is no way that our goal should have been disallowed, I am staggered by VAR, it just doesn’t make sense. The defender stepped across our player, if anything it should have been a foul in our favour. Unbelievable. But we just weren’t good enough during the game. Like Everton, Wolves were there for the taking and we failed to live up to our first half promise. I love Saints and RM, but am desperate for us to survive, so how do we square that circle? Agree Martin that it was a terrible away experience!

Best of luck Saints for the future - a similar club to Wolves I think. Yeah the away end isn't good, if you select the smaller allocation 1,700 (instead of the 2,800) you get the quadrant immediately to the right in the corner. Terrible performance from Wolves and I fear we both may be heading down, that's out first win in 20 games. Anyway, decisions were close, could have gone either way. But understand how you would feel about them as Saints fans. Again, bets of luck. Saints are a propa club in my eyes with very good local fanbase.

Wolves should ever have fired Nuno I still miss him, absolute quality manager. Cunha is an absolute star but I don't think Wolves will stay up, O'Neil has been very stubborn in his formation and it's cost us big plus our owners sold large a put not a lot back in. Wolves won this but we got a lucky VAR call plus you guys need to sign a scorer.

I wouldn’t say we’re in a worse situation than you we are a PL club at the moment, you have just been promoted from League one. If we go down, we’ll still have £100 million in parachute payments from the Premier League, plus a strong squad that could easily do well next season. We’ve won an FA Cup, triumphed in a play-off final, and have a proud history just like Portsmouth. The main difference? I’m not bitter-I don’t really worry much about how Portsmouth is doing.
