They are taking the route which our prophet took when he did his hijra, plus the distance between mecca and medina is about 440 km. Unless you're walking about 110 km a day you're not getting there in 4 days. The average person walks about 5 km per hour so it would take about 88 hours of walking to reach medina so a person must walk about 8-9 hours every day for 10 days to make this journey because the other times they will be praying, eating, resting, etc.

@@somestranger7531 you can call it naive but in Islam we are taught to trust our brothers. Maybe you think it's an impossible feat because you cannot do it. Many people have done astonishing journeys like Terry Fox who ran 5373 in 143 days with a prosthetic leg so if you think someone walking about 40-50 km a day is hard to believe then it says more about you than the person who is doing it.

Umar Ibn al Khataab radiyallahu anhu said: إنما هلك من كان قبلكم بتتبعهم آثار أنبيائهم "Indeed, those before you were destroyed because they followed the traces of their prophets." And so Umar radiyallahu anhu cut down the tree at Hidaybiya that Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa salam gave pledge underneath it, when Umar saw the people going there and praying underneath it. Ibn Baz said that this action of Umar radiyallahu anhu was to protect the people from shirk and innovation. I understand that you brothers want good, but following where prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa salam went and walked or sat etc is not correct.
