I just went back to see that video. Your instincts were correct. He was 1. Trying to get you out of your van close to his ATV so he could grab you.( When he said look at the truck). 2. He was judging how or if he could overpower you. Hence the long pauses and staring. 3. He tried to entice you to his home to take a shower. Talked about a wife and children. Probably not married. If he was broken in to why invite strangers to come to his home especially when his wife was home alone with him out of town. Always keep your ammo etc at hand.

I'm a 50+ y/o male. This guy was creepy as hell. Everything was off about him. The long stare, the invite to shower but make sure he was there the first couple times so his wife wouldn't think something strange was happening (when he already said it a common thing for him to invite people to shower/use the water hose, etc), even the cadence of his voice sounded wrong when he was telling the story - you could feel he was lying. I'm going to guess the guy doesn't have a wife at home. I love that you have his face, conversation, and atv on video and everyone can see it. I hope someone sees your video, recognizes him, and let's him see it so he can crawl back into his hole and ensure he never approaches someone again in this manner.

I never believed that as I lived out of an RV in a down time in my life, before this was a popular thing to do. Young people many times have a naive view of what's out there. PLUS, the way YOU handled it was exactly as I would hope my daughter would (being that her and her BF bought a camper recently). You followed your gut, didn't override it by denial, or being ''nice'', and you did what you had to do to be safe, by leaving that situation. Good job. Thank you for being a good example. Side note: i wish women could just exist in peace. I always thought ''well when I am this age, or that" that it would change, and I'd be invisible. But mid 50's now, it never changes. I remember seeing your original video and i was really impressed with how you handled yourself. As someone who works in crime scene technology and behavioral science, you did everything right. You kept him in your sights and didn't show fear. I have a theory that human predators share a lot in common with animal predators. Showing fear could've excited him and encouraged him to pursue. If you started running, it could have triggered panic and a desire to make sure you can't tell on him. Or excited him enough to pursue the chase. If you were rude it could have made him angry and want vengeance. The best thing you did when he got into the zone by staring, was talk to him. You're right about it breaking him out of his trance and back to reality. I hope it continues to go viral and teach other women
@gemum421910 ай бұрын
Yes, so true! Once he knows she has figured out what he is up to, he (the predator) knows he has nothing to lose at this point, that he may be reported anyhow and will act. So it makes sense if the victim shows fear that it signals to him that he has been already 'caught,' that his victim has figured out that he intends wrongdoing. I am a victim of an unsolved crime. We know the perpetrator but can't get enough evidence. We do have electronic bank records AND the criminal admitted to cashing federal notes, though she claims she had the right to. However, her story contradicts what was a bank employee said and other evidence. THIS, is where I believe we have her. We also need some checks and papers we have checked for her fingerprints and DNA of both her and the person who we believe she had a hand in causing the death of. I am looking for DNA and if there is anyway to look up this criminal's text/phone times as well as computer/internet activity during the time leading up to and associated with the crimes. It happened in Texas. The crimes are bank fraud, 2nd degree felony theft and forgery, wire fraud, identity theft, money laundering, stealing government services/money, and contribution to an elderly person's death. It will take combining ALL the efforts of Federal, state and local authorities. I have a LOT of evidence but need someone from each area of law enforcement to help. The crimes occurred in Texas. The federal crimes are the wire and bank fraud, money laundering and theft of government services (both state and federal). I have NO idea where to start. The local PD said it was a very unusual case. They are not used to people committing forgery or bank theft over 100K in their area, they usually go after bad checks in the $100 to $1000 range.

My mother and others blamed me for purchasing next to a stalker. After a couple of months the cops removed a 17 year old female, foster child, he beat regularly. A week after the foster child was removed, he attacked his 63 year old tenant, dislocating her shoulder and cracking three, ribs. Then the neighbour behind me told me there has been more than one woman removed from his property that had died. Cops told me he was bad news. Now this is on a remote island without police, a gas station or any services. He kept cutting off my water. He and his crew would use my property daily to process logs. He and another felon, tried to pinch me in-between two moving trucks and were banned by police and not allowed on my property. Having no access to my yard really pissed him off so retaliation meant cutting off my water and blocking access to my driveway. Lawyers want $40 000 to start litigation. Now my house sits empty and is unsaleable, no water and no access up the mountain. I left, I am living in my van, full time and know if I am around a threat, at least I have the option to move.

I have lived on this earth for 62 yrs. and made many poor choices which put me in the cross hairs of evil minded men. I have gotten much wiser and more cautious. I loved it when you mentioned you were from Texas and I knew right then that you knew what you were doing but I was in that van with you trying to tell this old POS he needed to move on now. Glad you got the heck out of there quick. As a mom, I was wanting to mother you and then I saw this update vid and knew, you got this. I heard someone say, "Humans are the only species that goes toward danger, animals leave immediately". I took that to heart and it works. Be well and a belated Merry Christmas!

It shook him. However I fully believe her angel was with her and prayers said in the past or present were keeping her safe. He would have been back a third time if she didn’t leave and he would have followed thru with his sicko plan. Or tried to. Thank God it was thwarted, her boldness in that moment is what did it!

I'm a former 911 Police Dispatcher. I'm so glad that you don't heap guilt upon yourself and have moved on from your horrific experience. It is indeed commonplace to not tell anyone after such an encounter. We inside of the law enforcement community hear this regularly. Van camping, van dwelling is no different than anywhere else except the places and faces change more often. People who do not travel simply do not understand that as a reasonable fact but it is certainly true. Van Dwellers are simply a Microcosm of Society as a whole. I'm certain that your Dad taught you wisely 💯 based on his own experience in law enforcement. Much respect to you and your Dad for grooming you for life's any challenging experiences. I actually just watched the video today (the original one) and now am watching this one. I just wanted to say that I actually really appreciate your authenticity. Since "van life" got super popular and basically "influenced" I honestly find most creators not fully honest about disclosing their full background and glamorizing what can be a very challenging but also rewarding lifestyle (for the right person of course!). Van life isn't for everyone, but I think it's also super important for people to see that just because something is different from the norm, doesn't make it less legitimate than any other way of living life. When my wife and three kids were returning to Lawrence, KS after a trip to Utah, we stopped to camp just across the Kansas border near Sherman Lake (39°11'24"N 101°45'48"W). It was dark and already quite late, so we set up our tent by flashlight. There were people camping further in and we thought it was nice not to be completely alone because there was a feeling of foreboding there. We (me wife, & 3 kids) laid down in our sleeping bags but a truck was slowly circling, driving past slowly with engine at idling speed... Really creepy. After 5 or 6 passes I thought we'd be okay but my wife felt strongly we should get out of there. I was annoyed because I was so tired, but I got thinking that my wife has this intuition while the truck came grinding by on the gravel. So I said let's go. I said don't turn on any lights or give any indication we are leaving. We packed up the sleeping bags, took down the tent and rolled it up in the dark, then got in the van, turned on the lights, and left! I think your first time takes you by surprise, but afterwards you become much more aware!

He must have been watching you from binoculars before riding out to ya. He put it on another person but it was really him. Thats how he knew he could ride out to your vehicle. He assessed the situation and left and then came back. Normal men don’t do that. He has done it before and I hope he’s never acted on it but that’s just about impossible with someone like that. Their carnal impulses take over. He was measuring up the situation and if he could get you near him or get you to follow his “suggestions” then he would have felt empowered to overtake you. Normal men truly out to do a good deed don’t talk like he did and they don’t invite you to shower at their house! He said he had a wife and kids which I doubt, he probably said it to make you feel a false sense that he was “safe”. He was and is stupid though. He couldn’t keep his mouth from running and gave himself away from the get go. But thank God for that or you might have thought it was safe to stay there and he could have snuck back later. Man I have been around a lot of creepy men before and I’ve been in situations that I shouldn’t have been in and I KNOW THAT I KNOW that Jesus sent angels to protect me because of the prayers of my family, but I never felt as creeped out about someone as I did about him and even tho I knew you were obviously okay, I was so scared for you in that moment because I could “see” what he was thinking and capable of. If you ever find yourself in that type of situation again, make sure your weapon is on you or in your hand! He was dangerous, but stupid. Thankfully!

Well with my dog, of course. I will say to always follow your gut. Leave & leave your things if you need to. The cops will return with you to retrieve your things. Now I will also say this. Im a survivor of being kidnapped & attempted unalived. The man who kidnapped me WAS NOT A STRANGER & this happened IN MY HOME. My advice is live your life, enjoy your life, just be safe, smart & protected. Sometimes camping with strangers is safer than being in our homes with folks who claim to love us.

Two things that I noticed from the original video: When he was pointing and talking about the white dodge, he was pointing into the distance saying, "Come out here and I'll show you." I wonder what Alyssa is doing at this point that caused such a reaction. Very scary and strange situation. I just watched your previous video. At the beginning I am yelling at the screen, "that guys a creep, get out of there". My warning bells and whistles were going off big time for all the reasons, I was glad to see, you later catalogued at the end of the video. To assume a young attractive female has no business camping alone is to under rate their abilities at ascertaining the threat and an inability to respond accordingly. Only if they lack these abilities should they then not do what your doing. I'm an older adult male that solo camps in remote places and I hear the same thing, "aren't you afraid?" "isn't that dangerous" Well I ain't from Texas but I have plenty of family that is. Good luck to you in your travels, and stay safe.

Your first video about this brought me here. Thank goodness you listened to your intuition. And eff people judging your choices. It's really disturbing how we've normalized women having to compromise on every moment of their lives to *hopefully* avoid being assaulted by a man. You should be able to exist anywhere at anytime without ever having to worry about that. It seemed to me like he was trying to make the white truck guy look suspicious to you so you would move and he could isolate you from the only other person around. Anyone choosing this life, needs to really prioritize strengthening their intuitive skills because that will be the only protection you need if you know how to listen and trust your intuition. I live in my car part time traveling and that's the most valuable thing IMO when it comes to avoiding potentially dangerous situations. Don't undervalue that. We all have this intelligence within us that knows and learning how to hear and trust that communication will save your life. 💜

I'm glad that you got a lot of views for your videos about the weirdo in Tucson BLM. You were rewarded for your actual real video without fancy editing and music. There is an overabundance of clickbait crap videos out there. Real videos like yours are really hard to find, because everyone wants to be a "filmmaker." I am so over crap videos, so I fully watched your videos about the Tucson experience end-to-end at normal speed with sound. I purposely don't view crap videos fully or at normal speed, and I even mute the sound and use captions to avoid hearing the music effects. As soon as I see that a video is crap, I stop playing it and don't support them with comments. As you know, KZbin's algorithm measures all this and ranks videos accordingly. I haven't watched any of your other videos yet, but I hope you stay real, give us the raw story without special visual or audio effects, and leave us with reality that is meaningful instead of deceptive BS. But there was this one guy who didn’t let go of us and asked again and again. He had a puppy with him and even payed for our drinks (we were at a small local bar). Something felt off by his offers - compared to those of some other genuine people that just want to help out (yet we never accepted those offers). So we trusted our gut feeling and I‘m really happy about our decision especially since the owners asked about out safety the next day we went there to grab a coffee. They have never seen the guy before and we’re creeped out by him as well just from overhearing the conversation we had with him, trying to get some information about our stay, where our van was parked and so on. Some people don’t even mind being seen by others or wouldn’t back off whether your solo traveling or not. So stay safe everyone and always trust your gut feeling!

i live in New Zealand. When i first came here 16 years ago and was travelling hitch-hiking there were similar offers. It is a LOT safer here and people tend to treat strangers like family, and be genuine and kind, and that is so amazing and has led to a lot of beautiful experiences, but like you said, gotta trust your gut whenever things seem off !

At this point KZbin and ticktock needs to make sure the owners of the videos only benefit from their own content.

To me, just finding this video and the one that preceded this one--he was most definitely was on something, or drunk. I'm glad you followed your gut. I do enjoy a solo travel adventure experience. keep going!

Bruh.... That long pause tho 🫤 ... You hit the nail on the head with the "John Wayne Gacy if he was into girls not little boys" vibe for sure!! I was feeling all the anxiety for you! I'm just glad you made it away from that creeper! Thaaaat's crazy!

Glad you are safe, worked well under pressure and was able to diffuse it.

Awesome that you shared about this story. "I genuinely thought I was going to have to shoot someone..." girl!! I was so excited to hear you say that! Why? Because you are prepared but you also are responsible! That strength!! I found you because of Mateo/Winterisblu. I am now subscribed ❤
