Some facts about the Runaway Music Video: It was shot (as far as we know) during January 31 to February 2, 2015. She was 18 at this time. She wrote Runaway at the age of 11-12 and finalized it at the age of 14 (for a school project, as she mentioned in an interview). The parts, where she wears the 'furry' top (it's actually sheep wool) are shot at the west coast of the Drange peninsula, less than a mile away from her parents house. The parts in the forest were shot in the same forest where she played as a kid very close to her parents house. The parts, in which she wears a thin white cardigan and with some trees in the near background and the island of Lysøya in the background, are shot actually in the backyard of her parents house in Drange (Norway).

Thank you for those facts, my friend! Wow! 11 yrs old writing at this level- a prodigy! Besides her beautiful voice and her mesmerizing eyes, it was the scenery that drew me in. I grew up playing in the woods, climbing trees and boulders and being very connected to nature so I felt a kind of 'homecoming' watching this. I love that this video was shot so close to home and for her, being in those places are even more so home for her. My goodness! Norway is so beautiful! I can't wait to check out more of her work. ❤️

Aurora is unique in todays music. A truly well rounded musician. Writing the lyrics and composition, co-producing her music, co-directing her videos, currently playing at least 4 instruments and lets not forget that voice. I listen to music all day every day, from the great composers, through 70's prog, metal, art rock, jazz, blues and anything new that's not just a product of the industry at large. I believe Aurora is the best artist writing, producing and performing at the moment. I only discovered Aurora about a week ago. I've been going down the rabbit hole, completely intrigued and obsessed. She is almost as fascinating in interviews as she is when performing music. I would love to be so free as her. She's quirky and weird but beautiful and fairy-like. She has remained childlike in the way that she is not afraid to explore and be fantastical, even with eyes upon her. But she's not a child and some of her music can explore darker and mature themes too. Her song "Murder, 54321" is disturbing for this reason. The juxtaposition of the dark lyrics and her wide, childlike eyes and voice unsettles but it is so damned good!

I am 60 years and a hardrocker and rockbear since early seventees now and follow this beautiful being for nine years know and i could easily say as an performer, singer and songwriter no one is on her leauge. Aurora is very unique artist with a lot of variation in her music. Not sure which you would like more and which not (for me her whole "discography" is great) but for sure it is woth to check her more :). She wrote runaway when was 11, before she even become an Artist (on the video she is like 18-19). I would recommend to check next f.e.: - Lucky live from Nidarosdomen - Murder Song live from Nobel Prize Concert - All is Soft inside live from KEXP 2018 (there is also version from 2019 but I recommend first one ;) ) - The Seed (official video) :). - Under the Water live from Honda Stage (because it is a little little rockish :) ) And of course much much more as she has a ton of great music

She got her start, recording a song she wrote to her mother (for Mother’s Day). She paid for studio time and her friend posted it somewhere. Then the record executives started beaten down the door. She told her mom she didn’t think she could do it and asked what she should do… her mother told her she gets these feeling watching Aurora and listening to her, she has a gift and it would be quite selfish not to share it. What an amazing parent! So, you still have the list I sent, but I’m curious to see what you think of her live performance… so, I am recommending KEXP Live with her (and band)! She is hilarious and charming and awkward and so full of life! You will adore her and I will be with you every step of the way! I am so intrigued by her, as a performer yes, but as a human too. I think that's the best advice a parent could give to a child- you have a gift, don't be selfish, don't squander it. I've known too many people that have let their gift go. Mostly because they haven't been supported by their parents/family. She is very lucky not only for the support of family but for the environment she grew up in; in the midst of nature.
