Your balding spot could just be vitamin d defiency. I was told I had alopecia but come to find out it was just vitamin d defiency. I started taking about 20, 000IUD a day for a couple of months and then just 5,000IUD a day. My hair grew back and I have no balding issues anymore. It has been 6 years now.

@bossladykkblackqueen1136

@Kya & Clara I use the one in the yellow container which is marked Sulfur8 Treatment. They also have a sulfur8 spray which can also be used daily especially if you have in braids but the one in the container works well on its own for me. The grease cools it makes it tingles a little which helps stop you from itching or irritating it. It will be gone before you know it😊Good luck & have a bless weekend😇

Great video. A few things I’ve picked up in addition to your recs is to part the hair and put the shampoo directly on the scalp. If not, the chemicals will dry your hair out and cause additional breakage. Also, if you’re experimenting with oils, do not leave tea tree on. It is to be washed out and can burn your scalp. Hope this helps ❤️

Wow i experienced this exact same thing 😭 I’ve been natural my whole life and never experienced such a thing before. I think i induced it when dying my hair and it damaged my scalp and tried to over moisturize to compensate for the dryness. I noticed mine around October 2020. I took my twist out and like 3 twist in the back 80%of the hair in those 3 twist just fell off when i untwisted it! I screamed! A month later after moisturizing that area specifically, my hair there was less than 1 inch long! Till now June 2021. That hair is only 2 inches long and the only thing i could think of was constant cortisone application, which i think is only helping with the itch but not complete treatment. Thanks so much for this video!

I learned that what I use helps me. I allowed my hair to loc in one back corner of my head. It involved a month of combing thru it, which irritated my scalp. It is still tender in that area a year later but nothing like before. The hair growth rate there is slower but it is catching up with the rest of my hair, so I ease up on tension hairdos. I just love bentonite clay washes, vinegar scalp rinses and Castille soap mixed with distilled water for my hair. I follow that up with some serious oil work!

Most of all iron and D vitamin deficiency is the main reason for hair fall. Than again Magnesium, B- complex, omega 3, zink, C-vitamin etc. are very important... each vitamin has its own function. And yes... henna, amla, neem, hibiscus, sena etc. can make a good alternative for coloring hair and are good healers for any hair condition... you have to make research for yourself..

@EfikZara is it Purslane? & I actually was recently diagnosed w/ an autoimmune condition - Lichen Planopilaris - a form of scarring alopecia. I have high density hair so I never noticed any hair loss - my hair had just hit a plateau. It wasn’t until 2018 when my body was under immense stress that I knew something was off. I have thick eyebrows & was losing hair from my eyebrows and the hair loss was patchy 😭😭. I also kept consistently getting these flakes during my wash day that I had to manually scrape off of my scalp and little hairs would go with them and I would have tiny raw exposed skin but not severe enough to know that something was off. I had previous hair loss from my childhood from traction alopecia in the center of my scalp and when I got my first consultation for corrective surgery, I had a scalp biopsy done where it was revealed to me that this was something that was occurring. The symptoms you describe - that intense itching that doesn’t go away until you feel raw skin as if it’s been injured, was something that I kept dealing with seasonally, when my period was around the corner or a reaction to intense STRESS. I’m glad that you touched on this because a lot of people don’t know that these are one of those things that come of age & with preventive care, it can slow down the progression of the disease. 😇💪🏽💜

I am currently dealing with a scalp issue as I have a raised knot on the side of head which urgent care diagnosed it as an abscess. I am taking oral antibiotics and I wash that spot with nizoral. I am losing my edges so I put my hair in a few plaits to try to allow the abscess to heal and to allow my edges to grow back. I am going to try a few of your suggestions since it may be a fungus issue that I am dealing with. I noticed the raised knot while I had in crochet braids that I ordered from Amazon (never again) so I took them out and went to urgent care since the knot was getting bigger, it was fluid filled and around the knot it was hard.. I am on antibiotics for 10 days which the abscess is slowly going down and I have 4 more days of meds..i scheduled an appointment with my PCP that I will attend next week in hopes that I do not have to get this knot lanced..oh I am also bald where this abscess is located..hopefully I can get my hair to regrow back by using some if not all of your suggestions and I am thinking of incorporating an aloe plant to assist which I will use on hair wash day..I am embarrassed to go anywhere without having a scarf/ head wrap on my head while in public and I do not go to any family outings since I am embarrassed that I have to wear a scarf/head wrap..I have been crying for days since I do not know what the cause is or how to really treat it or if my hair will grow back..thanks for making this video since I am hoping it helps me too

I downloaded your digital book (thanks!) I learned that when you have thick, natural hair (something happened similar to this with another natural KZbinr I follow), do not let it remain wet for long periods of time or fungus can grow.

Yup. Also that fungus actually like to feed on sebum/oils. So you gave to be careful which oils you use and how much. Now I put no oils butters, conditioners or grease on my scalp due to sensitivity. I have a scalp spray and a scalp gel with antifungal properties but also evaporate quickly allowing my scalp to "breathe"

I need help, I have scalp pain and little bumps. I normally have this in the front part of my head (edges and the sides) I also lost a bit of edges on the part that is hurting. I tried many thing to help me but I decided to cut my hair and let my scalp relax and see if it’ll help. Until today I still have the pain and I don’t know if I have a sensitive scalp or it’s maybe a real problem.

Apple cider vinegar rinse to balance your scalp ph. Get neem and massage your scalp and leave it in as a prepoo. Then wash your hair and post deep conditioning for your strands do a final acv rinse for your scalp. Do all this once a week for a bit. One third vinegar to two parts water.

Love a woman who takes good care of herself. It shows great respect for the God's gift, the temple which is our bodies. By the way a readily accessible antifungal is coconut oil. Not as powerful as the pharmaceuticals you were prescribed. However, as natural products go, coconut oil is the bomb in treating topical fungal issues.

I take care of my own hair at home and my granddaughter braids it. No strangers touch my hair. Haven’t in at least 16 yrs. I have a routine I have using since 3/2020. My hair is frowning. Sulfur 8, JBCO, Doo Gro Mega Thick, jojoba oil, mixed and applied every 2-3 days. It works!!!

I lost hair in that area due to making a really tight hairstyle. Until today I don't have hair there because the follicles has been destroyed so hair can't grow. I have question: I usually air dry my hair, meaning my hair is wet for, possible, 30 mins before it's completely dry. I do that bc I heard that air drying is more effective than drying it with a cloth but you said leaving the air wet for the long period of time is bad so now i have no idea what to do 😅

I too was going bald while I had Locs, after 6 years and realizing my routine was pretty minimal I decided to attempt the "zero waste"life and use shampoo bars. I tried a sample pack of J.R. Liggetts from Amazon and they didn't feel like they cleaned my hair but I persisted. I completely forgot that the scalp/hair goes through a transition phase when using solid products and that meant oily hair. On top of that I kept oiling my scalp afterward and a bloom of fungus appeared in one spot and quickly spread over the top of my head. It was itchy and flaky and gross and I was desperate to get rid of it. My Locs lost their strong foundation and I had to cut them off. My scalp was inflamed and angry so I switched to using Act& Acre products (very expensive) and it helped but I also used Sulfur 8 you suggested. It worked for a few days but the irritation always came back. Finally someone online put me on to Cult & King Tonik spray. This stuff is a Godsend. It's a clean herbal product that is a DHT blocker and not only did it balance my scalp, regrew my hair, I got my thickness back. My scalp is in hair nirvana since I've added mainly 3 things: Aleppo soap (shampoo) only using wooden hair tools Cult & King tonic spray stopped oiling my scalp

Hey sis.I stumbled on your video about various types of women you find in Naija. So, I subscribed. I have to support you to grow. Let me tell you ah. Your beauty dey mad, I swear. You're a Nigerian irrespective of where /geographical place of birth. I have never seen a European say they were born in Ibadan so they are Nigerian. We have to correct that. It's doesn't change your DNA. Thanks.
@EfikZara
@EfikZara 3 жыл бұрын
Lol, well "Nigerian" isn't an ethnicity, it's a nationality so nationally, a person of European descent is actually Nigerian if they are born here... the same way I'm an American of Efik/Ibibio descent. (And I've actually met a lot of people who are not ethnically of this region, but they claim Nigeria HEAVY and have generations of family in Nigeria; Lebanese and Europeans especially.) The only people that are ethnically of America are the Native Americans, everyone there is in a land that doesn't belong to them. I therefore disagree. I'm of an ethnicity native to the region called, "Nigeria" but culture is powerful and you can't take that away from people. Don't let random lines drawn by white people, dictate to you who you are. Last last, we are a nation full of people that are not meant to cohabitate and it shows. Hopefully, we can actually recognize that and use it as a weapon instead of allowing it to cripple us. (I AM NOT PUSHING FOR S*CESSION OH, I AM JUST SAYIN')

@Efikzara am suffering from scalp fungus too, but am actually taking, Terbinafin tablet and Using Lamisil cream (Terbinafin cream) for it, I have been sufrring from it for 4yrs now, my middle hair is gone, but I just started the treatment just last month, that was when I realized that I was suffering from hair fungus, I just use to wear wigs on my head and did scalp treatment with garlic and ginger for those years, but my scalp is getting better, I feel the terrible itching I have felt for 4yrs stopping gradually. May be I will have to change the lamisil cream to Ketonoenzole cream, to see if it's stronger , than Terbinafin cream. Am glad you you had your hair back.
