I was homeless for a couple of years back in the late 70's. Actually, I was running OTR Reefer with a Kenworth K100, 430 Detroit & 13 over, Double Sleeper & THAT was home. Occasionally on a weekend layover, I'd get a motel room. - Good Times ! Nobody waiting anywhere, except the shipper & the consignee. NO ELD, NO DEF, NO cameras, NO cellphones, NO wife. Just check-call once a day & "Rockin'-Down-The-Highway" (BTO).🎶 - Made 20% of gross & $15 for anything over 300 miles deadhead. People used to get a kick out of the 'flip-up-lid' mailbox I had mounted on the driver's side-pocket door & the address was; 'Star Route - Anywhere U.S.A." - 'Orwell' brings back good memories of those daze(sic) ! - Thanks Steve... I always enjoy your content. Regarding the homeless, everyday I see a couple ( boyfriend and girlfriend I think) panhandling outside the Lowes and Home Depot in Wallingford, Ct. (Some days one of them is at the highway exit) and though I feel bad for anyone in that situation and do not wish on anyone, I also question it. I know so many businesses that are looking for workers, and know they both could find something. But they continue each day, li!e the guy living in his car and sleeping on that table.

Steve, I love the channel but there is a serious difference between having options and having nothing. No camper, no shop, no car to sleep in, no idea when you last ate or where your next meal is coming from. The Doors (and a host of blues/country artist) said it best, "been down so GD long that it looks up to me...". That's homeless and it takes more than bad choices to land there. There are crooks and scammers out there faking the homeless thing but there are so many out there who don't even know they're lost. We should count our blessings and be thankful. ...because real despair is never more than a couple of steps away.

I agree with you I don’t like rain x on the windshield but on the side windows and the mirrors it is great. I didn’t believe it worked for a long time back in the 80’s until a friend I went to school with who worked for the same company as me talked me into letting him put it on half of each mirror and the next rain I ran into I couldn’t believe the difference the half that he didn’t put it on I could only see the headlights of the vehicles coming up from behind me and the half he put it on I could see the vehicles clear enough too see what color they were

According to some sources, the Browns are named after a particular coach, Paul E. Brown, that gave them a bunch of winning seasons as well as innovating things like filming the games to learn, adding facemasks to the helmets and such.

The Browns were the original Saint Louis Browns who relocated to Cleveland after Saint Louis didn't want the team anymore and then they became the Ravens when the Mayor of Cleveland wouldn't give Model a new stadium, so he moved the team out in the middle of the night just like the Baltimore Colts did to Indy and the irony of it was that had Model gotten his new stadium, Brain Belicheck would have ended up being the head coach who would have guided them to a Superbowl title instead of in Baltimore.

@@chuckyf-u2395 Used to, don't know if he still does and we're talking about the new owner of the Browns who has done a lack luster job at best at making them relevant. The Browns I always remember are the Browns of the days when I was growing up who really made anyone they faced work for their points and it was pretty unbelievable in all of those years that they made the playoffs but never made the Superbowl because they had all the famous players of the eighties including Bernie Kosar who never got a superbowl title in his career even though he was one of the best QBs the original Browns ever had and who was responsible in part for bringing the new franchise Browns back to Cleveland.

Being homeless should be a wakeup call for anyone who ends up there, so it is astounding to me why some of these people refuse to better their situation like it is the last stop for the rest of their life. As long as you can breathe and move, you should be trying to better your situation, but on the flipside, it's sad to see our country devolving to this point where the homeless are allowed to run rough shot in a business establishment which shows you that our country is using its priorities in a wrong way if we even have to think about being homeless and reduced to sleeping on whatever we can find out of the elements.

Like you, I don't get "the Browns" but I also don't know what cheese have to do with Green Bay being known for meat packing plants 🤔 Why do people driving campers can never stay in their lane 🤔 always drifting into your lane when passing them 😡😡

Throw the bread out for the birds and just eat the meat .. The white just is not good for you. So you call the time you were living out of the RV your homeless years. I suppose NO ONE passing by would think you had no home to go to. Maybe they did. Maybe they thought , " Why doesn't that guy get a place ! He's living out of his RV that is not a RV park." G"Guess he made some wrong choices" Do you see how that works ? People make choices , and some people form opinions without knowing the full story some good, some not so good. The fact that that guy is sleeping on a benchshow's me that the city or township is not helping him. Proably will force him to move on. I can see that him being there and taking up space would probably cause a family not to stay and have a break with him there. Another family, perhaps one with some compassion would ask him if he needed anything. Like water or a meal, or pay for a shower at a truck stop. It is sad that there are so many homeless in the USA.. I am a proud veteran of the USN , and of the Viet Nam era and also disabled. I have felt the same way you do now but as I get to pushing 80 years old I have become more passionate. Perhaps you will also. I now will give a homeless or down on his luck person a donation and of course to other groups as well. Not all are able to pull themselves up by their bootstraps as you have. Keep on trucking,
