Listening to Michael's story further PROVES how the leadership of Jehovah's Witnesses destroys families and sets members up for failure. Shunning practices are inhumane and sinister. No one should ever have to choose between their family and what they believe. I wish Michael further success & happiness. It's great to see so many leaving & waking up.

I 100% understand the feeling of power over the elders. They are just men and not divinely led. I also told them it was none of their business when they asked if I was sexually active with my now-husband. Those faces got red real quick and then I walked out. It was amazing!!

Michael...GREAT INTERVIEW!!! It's a simple as that...Jehovah's Witnesses are clueless! Every answer is prayer! PRAYING IS WHAT OPENED MY EYES! What we're asking Jehovah to do is SHOW ME THE WAY! And, he does! Kudos to you and to all of us that have prayed to Jehovah and he SHOWED us...Jehovah's Witnesses organization are NOT his approved organization on Earth!

It's good to hear of someone who like me came out because of researching. I was, after many questions disfellowshipped for denying that the wt bible and tract society is Gods sole channel of bible truth on earth today. Take note Jeffery Jackson!!!! My parents shunned me for 20 years. When my father died my mum got back in touch and we had a ' kinda' relationship. Then I ended up nursing her till she died last year. Who'd a guessed?. I love how you stood your ground and admire your courage! My husband of 28 years was raised in a dysfunctional JW family, didn't get baptized, told me he would never join, but is now going to meetings after 58 years (he's now 70). I never was a JW or ever interested in joining. Now I have to deal with this stuff. I have 2 master's degrees and almost a doctorate. This is difficult for me.

Great video and thanks for posting Vevian. I totally agree with the decision that Michael made regarding his stand when his Mother was ill. The whole premise behind the JW teaching/pressure to conform is that they are unwilling to accept any other right or life choices other than those they dictate as dictated to them by the organisation. The fact is that people have a human right to make their own life decisions and when those are questioned and punished by any group or organisation then the consequences go both ways! When someone is shunned and cut off and then moves on why should they be expected to fall in line so to speak when it suits the former?

Great interview! Could easily have doubled it and still be interesting and informative. I like how Mike refers to wt and attending the meetings to church or going to church. He really left the indoctrination and corresponding buzz words. I hope there's a part 2!

Just so sad, frustrating and unloving the way the wt screws relationships and so many are affected. I am one, walking away from this "truth" I now have children doing, what the org tells them is the loving way Jehovah has provided to get you back in. It's none of their business.If needed,Jesus/Yeshua Christ is the High Priest through whom we confess.They know it.I'm a female and had many scriptural conversations with elders.They know they are doing things in the wrong way...and yes they know they are often lying inThe Creators name... Soo many questions the host failed to ask. What kind of questions did you ask the Elders which they could not answer? Why did you attend the Judicial Committee? Who were these 2 witnesses? Etc
