I’m 51. Raised in the cult. My mother was a covert narcissist. She was as quiet as a mouse and was very good at manipulation. I didn’t figure her game out until the last 4 years. Too late as she feel over dead 16 years ago…not soon enough. She ruined everything!

I'm sorry this happened to you. I was raised in a high control household that used the bible as a weapon so i can sympathize. My Mom was also a covert narcissist. I walked away from religion long ago but about five years ago the real Jesus rescued me and when I accepted Him into my life He gave me a miracle, He healed me instantly of my deep hatred of my mom. I just want you to know God is real and He loves you . He longs to have a relationship with us. The bible is not about do's and don'ts, it's about a relationship with God. We don't need men to go through for this. Because I was raised in a situation similar to J.W's I like to speak out and encourage people that have been scarred from this terrible religion. Shalom!

Thank you for this video. My mother is also, a narcissist, in her case a covert, narcissist, and a Jehovah witness. I was indoctrinated shortly after she converted in about 1973-74. My father never converted. I can really relate to so many aspects of this story, The insanity of growing up under the delusion of this religion,, the sadness/isolation around holidays, and also suffering insomnia that also started for me relatively young. I remember that very distinctly.

Just so Teresa knows, your story, means so much to many of us. My pomi wife is a serious narcissistic personality. And she suffers from Stockholm syndrome as well protecting those very ones who want to destroy her marriage. And it is difficult to deal with someone who obviously cares more about the 9 guys in NY who she has no idea who they really are, than herself, her husband, or her life. I mean family, property, all aspects of family life mean absolutely nothing to her just the Borg. When you speak, I understand the debth of just how devastating Narcissism is on 👪 family. Thank you for sharing, you help so many of us to realise we are not alone in this very dangerous journey of leaving a deadly Cult. A lot of us are forced in making decisions we would try to avoid if at all possible. 😢

This person says something cruel on all content. They really need to be removed. So sad. They are using a safe platform to inject unkindness. Kind of sad actually. @imcrediblystupid8483 must be stuck in a very dark place, and likely has no idea how to get out. Brings me back to 'what ever pain you delivering has already been done to you.' Could be a trauma of devaluing manifested by devaluing the experiences of others... I guess we all need a hater to appreciate our true supporters. Lol
