Funny thing about the twins not speaking in the movie & having only a few lines in the show. The reason they don't speak at all in the movie is because when they put out casting calls for identical Japanese twin actors they forgot to specify the characters were supposed to be fluent English speakers. The people working on the film decided it would be pretty rude to replace the actors because their own mistake.

This series was actually not an adaptation of the comic. Bryan, the creator of the comics, stated this as a reimagining, so like a second take of his original story. As for a potential second season, who knows we might; we still haven’t fully dealt with Gideon in the long run. Maybe if we do get a second season, we’ll get more development for the twins, and maybe even properly meet Wallace’s BF (and even meet a character that was in the comics that wasn’t in this series.)

Funny enough Also, Brian confirmed that the end credit scene in 'Scott Pilgrim' is just a joke with no plans for a season 2, supposedly mocking Marvel's scenes. But it didn't come off as a joke, unlike Marvel's successful end credit joke in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming.' Marvel's worked because it built up during the movie, actually poking fun at the end credits.

@JaniceMarieAudio Funny enough, that's my problem with the show. A lot of people are out of the loop or wouldn't have known that this isn't a direct adaptation with some additions/changes, and certainly wouldent be able to tell that the end credit scene was a joke. The only way you would know any of this is if you follow the creators' socials and watch/read every interview with them. It's a good show, but that's absolutely why people feel misled and "tricked"

@@ciabatta55 two words shouldve gave it away that isnt gonna be a lame ole copy and paste from the books where they have huge plot holes and major problems that were never fix . we wouldve never got the development or backstory or anything about the exes/Romana like we did in this new story, if they just said lets recycle the same story for 4th time. I even knew it wasnt gonna be a 1:1 adaptation by the damn title Scott Pilgrim "takes off". ppl cant handle change, they just want recycled ole material YIKES. The anime fix alot of things.

I thought so too about the director sounding familiar! So first I wanna point out that his name is Edgar Wrong, which is funny because the director of the live action movie is named Edgar Wright. As for his voice actor it’s Kevin McDonald who you may recognize as Pleakley from Lilo and Stitch.

i have cartoon brainrot so there are two recommendations !! the first one is The Amazing Digital Circus because its super cool and a really short pilot episode, and the second one is Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which is just 2 seasons and then a movie (im obsessed lmao)

As someone who absolutely loves the movie and books, I was so happy with this series. I think every verso. Brings something new and has its own thing going on that makes them strong. Anyone who likes this series and the movie that have not read the books, please do. It is so very much its own thing as well.

I see Scott pilgrim takes off as a direct sequel to the movie that further developed and gives resolution to all characters. The only negative I might say is that Stacy has barely anything to do in the show.

As a fan of the source material (the comics of course) I love this series, and I love they trick us in the first episode and tell a totally different story, a "what if" but with zero warning. I don't get why some (loudy) fans are that upset about it. Even the movie was different from the comics, they never really went full on the main "Scott lying himself about his own life" thing. Anyway, I'm glad non-readers viewers enjoy and like this alternate story, it was actually very fun seeing this enjoyable characters in a different plot.

I genuinely really dug this series, I loved the books and the live action film and while I would've liked some aspects of the books to have made it into the series, like Lisa, Mr Chau and more of Scott's history with Kim, I loved this series and that it let O'Malley as a writer just go nuts and use the full extent of the cast.

The twins never got development in the comics either, it's practically a running gag that they just exist at this point. Also, EO Scott was one huge reference to NegaScott, the comic version of the character not the movie's one-off joke. (EO Scott's fight theme has some of Nega's mofit, his glowy red eyes and most importantly being the physical manifestation of Scott's flaws and distorted memories)

The thing about this 'bad future' is that it's so easily avoidable that I legit think the ending we got points to it not happening again. Scott's 37 in the future, and he's 22-23 in the current time. He married Ramona for about 12-13 years, and they likely dated a year or two before marriage. Scott instantly resorted to his villain arc when he and Ramona were having a small fight (The fact they went 12-13 years without one shows this was probably a healthy relationship) and because Scott is actively toxic to himself and Ramona runs away instead of confronting things, their relationship ended.

Honestly i just highly recommend reading the series. Its not crazy long and its the same art style as the show but like this series rather than the movies it goes in depth with the exs and is a lot of self growth and the characters themselves realizing that theyve been sh*tty people
