There's something powerful about this VA's enunciation of words. I've seen some criticism that she sounds 'flat' by people who've never done any acting and are certainly not blessed with keen ears, but if you listen closely you can find the fluctuations in emotional pitch as the Shorekeeper struggles with her existential crisis. I honestly think she was the perfect casting choice for an artificial observer.

So, about Shorekeeper's identity.. I think she's Gaia, or "Mother Earth", as it's been hinted she's actually millions (maybe billions) of years old. I believe she's made of the Remnant Energy or "memories" of the planet itself, like a naturally occurring Sentinel, and that once Rover found her through their crazy strong resonance ability they gave her this duty to maintain the Black Shores. This made her feel at peace, as she could finally help her "children" and that allowed her to solidify her physical form on a more permanent basis, giving rise to the woman we see here as "The Shorekeeper" she's like a God, omniscient and omnipresent but instead of omnipotent, she's totally impotent.. A Deity who sees all, knows all, feels all, but can't DO anything at all.. that's why she is in such agony over the eons, and why she feels so indebted to us for giving her a purpose

Theory on the Artificial Sky thing you said: 1. In the beginning cutscene we do see Rover floating in an ocean in the sky upsidedown and ocean is water 2. We've already seen in multiple occasions that tacet discords are made of water(i.e. Jiyan's trailer and Phrolova cutscene under the moon in the first acts) 3. Wuthering 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀? 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲worn phenomena? Sus So im guessing those guys can just spawn up there in the ocean sky and thats how the first lament happened, and it can only happen with enough power from like a threnodian or somethin. A gaem theory!

True, she's just much older (eons old, so before we ever visited Solaris 3) and made up of "remnant energy" unlike tacet discords that only started to exist after the first lament (which you can see the giant tacet field in the sky which allows TD's to break into Solaris 3) which are made of "chaotic residual frequency energy." So different origins but very similar concept, which is why she doesn't crave chaos, as she's not made from chaos energy but remnant energy.

Just wait for another 5 seconds and you will get an answer of what Shorekeeper is. 0:30 She's a bundle of energy in the form of butterfly, formed by accident. 0:57 She's jealous of Human and wish to be Human herself. 1:04 She tried to be one of them, living in the human society. 1:13 And then she witness the first lament after that. 1:47 She starts breaking down and question what's the purpose of her life if she can't do anything. 2:12 She met Rover, and Rover gave her purpose for her never-aging self. Anyways, I just love how you dissect the video right after you watch it all. Not a lot of CC/Streamer do that, keep up the good work! ❤

shorekeepers purpose is to be an observer but until the lament she saw everything fall Rover gave her a new purpose after their descent Her lore and very first drip market says she's been around for Eons predating the existence of earth or would be earth Solaris-3 Anyway the entire dark theme of wuwa is constantly cooking it's not immature also characters have been swearing and it's quite refreshing

SPOILERS ABOUT CURRENT PGR STORY IN CN Soooo... right now in the story most of the characters are dead. Big one - one of the main character is dead - Lucia. However this could change cuz some of the time traveling shenanigans but as of now most of them are dead. END OF CN PGR STORY SPOILERS I must say however that in PGR story, even if they do not kill characters direcetly that often, they surely do traumatize them and make them suffer... Do not ask PGR players what happend in The Surviving Lucem, that was a painful read 🥲I recommend watching 2 animated shorts - Punishing: Gray Raven | Glimmering Spiral and Weaved Vows | Lucia: Pyroath if you havent already.

Spoilers i think? For the pgr question you had Pgr has heavy dark tones in story, like alot of killing but not the playable ones, but the farthest they've gone to killing playables is someone dying and getting revived again. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 there have been situations of characters having had to go through things that are so much worse than death, that in my opinion killing them off and just giving them a painless death wouldve been better. Protecc Selena at all cost!
